A 5-minute walk along the farm track leads to Hawton Waters Woodland where guests can explore over 170 acres of private woodland and walks along the River Devon which runs through the farm. Swim the lake or simply spend hours of walking in quiet secluded countryside. The design of the lodge is very important to the owner and has been a core value of theirs to remain environmentally friendly, and as kind to nature as they could be. Hawton waters is very proud to have been recognised as one of the few places in the country which successfully homes long eared owls and therefore are part of the national scheme which places owls’ boxes in secure sites and monitors the breeding progress.
