âWe felt that the hotel offered very good value for money for a short few hour stay on route to our destination.
It is true to say the hotel was full of charcter and one could easily imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday.... however time has clearly taken its toll. It seemed to have a variety of characters staying there.....
Certainly one may feel vulnerable in the sirrounding area.... but the car park was close and included in the cost of the room. We have no complaints whatsoever. ...
âHad a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean.
Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared.

âReally lovely staff and the check in experience was very pleasant. The room was just about acceptable in terms of cleanliness but the toilet was not clean and still had used paper in it. The room and the surroundings were very tired and beyond worn in some places, especially the carpet on the stairs which was very dirty. As there was no breakfast, we could not comment on it. Itâs such a shame because the setting is quite pleasant and it could be a lovely place to visit. â
âUnfortunately I had eaten enroute so did not dine in the nicely furnished olde style pub which took orders until 20.30 but, despite my 20.20 arrival I was given opportunity to eat. The bed was very comfortable. An armchairxwas provided in addition to a chair.â

The decor is fitting to this country mansion and the whole house is very clean, and my bedroom was exceptionally clean and well stocked with soap, shampoo etc. and my bed very comfortable giving me a good nightâs sleep đ€

âHired a twin room for the night whilst staying with my daughter after a previous bad experience at a different hotel. The room was clean, the TV worked and the pressure in the shower was nice to me. Stopped for a beer in the pub (noise from which was not heard in the room) and the ladies working were polite and helpful.
