Surrounded by a national forest, wildlife refuges, state parks, and easy access to the beach, this comfortable, family-friendly home is the perfect launching pad for your next vacation to the Crystal Coast. Atlantic Beach is just over six miles away, with historic, charming Beaufort only 11 miles from Matilda's Place. You’ll find plenty of fun in Emerald Isle, 17 miles down the Outer Banks. On the way, stop to check out the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. A multitude of shopping and dining options are as close as three miles from Matilda's. A beach surrey is also available for your own scenic rides. If you'd prefer to stay closer to your vacation home, the neighborhood is nearly a circle mile, making it great for runs, jogging, or strolls.

At home, the fully screened porch is the perfect spot for morning coffee, sweet tea in the afternoon, and evening cocktails. Just inside, you’ll find the well-stocked, eat-in kitchen, with a full suite of appliances and plenty of counter space for mealtime prep. After a day of outdoor fun, cool off at home in the central air-conditioning while the washer/dryer makes quick work of any laundry. Entertainment options include two TVs and free WiFi. Even better, unplug entirely and gather together back out on the screened porch for a night of conversation under the café lights. No matter if you’ve come to relax or explore, Matilda’s Place has you covered - all that’s left to do is book.

Four twin foldable mattresses are available in the third bedroom for guests to use as additional sleeping options.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
