We are conveniently located near the freeway; some people may think of it as background noise while others will think it is loud. The noise is louder in the winter when the trees lose their leaves. After 800 guests, we have had very few complaints about noise but please plan accordingly. On the way to our 4 acre property, there are windy, narrow, paved roads amongst the trees, so please drive safely.

English Creek Hideaway is nestled outside the small rural town of Newport, TN. Its accessibility and small-town charm offer a wonderful ambiance and a place to relax and refresh. It provides a perfect escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of the nearby cities of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. But with easy access to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants and other services.
DONUTS: If you are craving something sweet, try the hole-in-the-wall delicious Bryant donuts. It doesn't look like much, but they make a seriously scrumptious donut. 9 mins.
COFFEE: Need a fancy coffee? Try out the little train car drive-thru of Snowbird Mountain Coffee 12 mins, or their downtown location 11mins. Starbucks is located within Food City. 12 mins.
PIZZA: Milanos Restaurant offers amazing pizzas and other Italian food, go hungry, their portions are huge! 12 mins.
MEXICAN FOOD: Monterey has amazing customer service, chips and salsa will be served as you sit down and browse the menu for a delicious combination of Mexican food. 6 mins.
BBQ and STEAK: Many options in different parts of town. The Grease Rack is 8 mins away, small town steakhouse and lounge. The Fox Hound Bar and Grill offers a great family restaurant atmosphere, 14 mins. The Woodshed towards Cosby (South) has great burgers 9mins.
DINER: If you want to go back in time look no further than Janice’s Diner, conveniently located off the road leading you to the national park and Gatlinburg, great place for breakfast. 10mins.
ICE CREAM: Head downtown the The Creamery on Broadway for a serious sweet treat that will not disappoint. 10 mins.
WHITE WATER RAFTING: Hartford, TN is 15 minutes away and has some of the best white water rafting and relaxing tubing rides in all of Tennessee. Douglas Lake is also 25 minutes away, making this a great location if you’re interested in enjoying water sports!
HIKING AND NATIONAL PARK ENTRANCE: Cosby Campground Entrance is 20 minutes away and offers the most serene and peaceful surroundings. This area is truly a hidden gem only known by the locals. Experience several trails, ranging from strolls over many bridges and creeks, all the way to advanced long hikes for the experienced hikers and the Appalachian Trail.
