Our home is near downtown Newton and only a few minutes' drive to Hickory, Conover, and Maiden via Hwy 321, I-40, and US 70. You will be thirty minutes from Lake Norman State Park; 40 minutes to South Mountain State Park (hiking, trout fishing and picnicking); 45 minutes to Charlotte (airport and shopping); less than an hour to Bank of America Stadium (home of the Charlotte Hornets) and concerts at the Coliseum; an hour to Boone/Blowing Rock ski resorts/outlet shopping; and 1.5 hours to Biltmore House in Asheville. Our home is the perfect overnight stopover on your way to just about anywhere!
