Bring your own soap. Bring your own pillows too. This is considered a higher end boutique hotel...but, the bar soap was was so small, that it reminded me of a scene in Planes Trains and Automobiles where John Candy showers at a cheap motel...with a postage stamp sized soap! And they only had cheap (quality) foam pillows...nothing feathered. On the plus size, breakfast was very good, staff friendly and very quiet. Very close to the Shaw festival theatre too.

We only stayed one night, but it was a beautiful property. 30 minutes from Niagara Falls – easy to find – staff so friendly – Niagara on the Lake downtown very walkable, quaint and beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

The property is beautiful very clean well kept.They even have a free shuttle for use around town,how amazing!The breakfast was delightful.Only drawback was vacuum outside doorway early Sunday morning but otherwise great experience.

Staff were exceptional, particularly Emma at the front desk. Breakfast, shuttle to downtown (which we did not use), Niagara reusable bag, and cookies were welcome amenities. Bathroom was only let down as bath products are below standard and toilet cubby is tight. Parking is easy, location is peaceful and near the water. Room was spacious (except for toilet cubby which was not).

Cet hôtel a vraiment besoin d'être rénové. Les meubles sont déteriorés, il faisait très froid lors de notre passage et les corridors n'étaient pas chauffés. Heureusement qu'il y avait un foyer dans la chambre, nous aurions gelé sans lui.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Harbour Hotel. The location is perfect! The neighbourhood is so quaint, peaceful and quiet. Walkable to the path along the river and to the town where there’s a lot of cute shops. The staff are super friendly, warm, inviting, and accommodating. The morning breakfast is absolutely delicious with a great variety! The room we stayed in is so quaint and romantic with a nice layout, lots of natural light, and a beautiful view of the harbour and the skyline. We are so pleased with our choice!

We visit once a year, and The Harbour House never fails to please. Immaculate rooms, fantastic staff, and prime location to the heart of NOTL. Highly recommended!

We have stayed at the Harbour House a number of times but not for a few years. It is still as good as it has always been previously. We will be back again soon I hope.

It was nice with the fireplace in the room, plus the Nespresso coffee machine and whirlpool tub. I found it a little disappointing, that given the price, the breakfast less attractive than a highway motel.

Our stay at the Harbour House was fantastic. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, the added treat of cookies was a nice surprise. The added virtual concierge was incredibly helpful and a nice personal touch to give advice for things to do and places to eat etc. Just a quick text on your cell. The building is more like a quaint, cozy home away from home feel. The view of the harbour is beautiful. Our room was beautiful with a king bed, cozy feature fireplace, small sitting area and a mini fridge. The bathroom had a big shower and a huge jetted tub. Breakfast in the morning was one of the most delicious breakfast we have had for a free breakfast. The service was also just so friendly and helpful, reminded me of visiting my Mom. Easily walkable to town, the area is just stunning with lots of trails and walk along the water. We look forward to visiting again in the spring and will definitely stay at the harbour house again.

Harbour House Hotel is a treasure for those who seek the comfort and quiet of a charming and cozy sanctuary. We had what we needed in our room and simply wanted to stay in as much as possible to relish the time we were there. The continental breakfast was a welcome bonus and really quite satisfying! We look forward to our next stays at the Harbour House Hotel!

Please be mindful-- this is a pet friendly establishment. If you are looking for peace and quiet this may not be the place for you. We stayed on first floor and as soon as we got into our room, there was a dog that was constantly barking because the owners left the dog in the room alone while they went out. The same dog started barking at 7:30am, so we didn't really get to sleep in at all. There were also dogs barking all evening long as the owner kept their window open so every little noise, the dog would start barking. Its one thing to take advantage of a pet friendly hotel (if you don't have a sitter or don't want to leave your dog home alone for the weekend or your onroute travelling) but the owners need to be more accountable and responsible for the animal. I called the hotel staff a couple times to complain about the barking however, I feel the staff should be more on top of guests whose dogs are disturbing everyone else. Although the property itself was very nice and well kept, its not a cheap place to stay. I think for the prices the hotel is charging, they should definitely rethink offering it as a pet friendly hotel especially when you are marketing the hotel as a quiet, tranquil place to get away to relax and unwind. We were a little disappointed because we definitely wanted to get away after the holidays for some peace and quiet and it was exactly the opposite unfortunately.

We loved our stay at Harbour House except for the dog policy. Most guests with dogs were ok, except there was a barking dog on our floor one evening that barked continuously for over an hour! Think maybe the people left the dog alone, which should not be allowed as it was extremely disturbing! We did complain the next morning.
