Beautiful, well equipped home on the top of haut de cagnes , a very friendly and welcoming town with a handful of good restaurants only steps away. The host is extremely nice and receptive. After hearing of my wife's down feather allergy, she went out of her way to purchase hypoallergenic pillows for our arrival. Paid parking for our car rental was a plus. This was the perfect 'home base' for our vacation to the French Riveria! We will not hesitate to return if given the opportunity!

The house was exactly as shown in the pictures. Very clean, beautifully decorated and well outfitted. The Haute de Cagnes area of Cagnes Sur Mer is extremely charming and very clean. It is high up which makes for beautiful views, if a bit of a climb to get there. The parking ‘garage’ is genius as it is difficult to park in the area immediate to the house. The shuttle into the main town works very well and makes it easy to get to the grocery store and boulangerie. Adelina was very helpful and answered all my texts very quickly when I had questions.

The house is in an old village at the top of the mountain next to a pretty old castle. There is a nice village square with two restaurants, a beautiful view and a pétanque court. The village itself is worth exploring on foot in one afternoon. This is a good location to visit Antibes, Nice, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, St Paul de Vence, Toirettes sur Loup, Monaco, Menton or even go to Ventimiglia in Italy for a huge Friday clothing market. This is what we did during our 10 day stay. It was mid of November with nice weather and we also managed to swim a couple of times in the sea. Our hosts were very accommodating with our very late check-in and offered us a late check-out since there were no guest arriving that day. After we left we realized that we left a small pouch and our host Adeline found it and arranged shipping it to us.

Family getaway

We enjoyed our time at Belle Maison. The bedrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen was modern, and there was a lovely balcony out the back that looked out over the hills. As has been said in other reviews, the house is three floors so you must be ready to navigate the stairs. If you are a light sleeper be warned, the church bells ring on the hour and half hour all night, but we got used to it. The village is very quaint with several nice restaurants and a free bus that takes you down to the town for necessities. There is a place to park your car at the bottom of the hill which worked well and overall, we enjoyed having Haut de Cagnes as our base. Overall a great stay!

Perfect from start to finish

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The location is amazing, everything is top quality inside from decor to appliances. Adeline was very helpful and accommodating. Even with our flight delayed to Nice and the rain upon our arrival at the location, she had saved us a great parking spot close by. The parking can be tricky but they have a great solution, I just recommend that if you have a small car, it'll just be easier. We can't wait to return.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt für die ganze Familie

Wir haben uns im Ort und im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche ist sehr gut und hochwertig ausgestattet, das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und Handtücher und Bettwäsche von guter Qualität. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern ist sehr herzlich, Fragen und Anliegen werden zügig beantwortet. Vielen Dank für alles!

Sehr schönes renoviertes Altstadthaus mit allem Equipment das man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Die Lage ist sehr schön in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Lokalen in Haut de Cagnes. Kleiner Hinweis für alle die sich überlegen hier Urlaub zu machen: Das Parkhaus in unmittelbarer Nähe lässt anlagenbedingt nur Fahrzeuge mit max. 1800 kg zu. Das Parken in der Altstadt ist nur eingeschränkt möglich. Wir haben alle Ausflüge mit Bus und Bahn unternommen. Das hat sehr gut funktioniert.

Just stayed here for five days: beautiful location adjacent to the Chateau in the lovely medieval village. The views from the balcony in the second floor bedroom are outstanding. Adeline was the perfect host and provided all the right information and recommendations for local restaurants and great beaches in the area. The property has been designed and finished to a very high standard with exquisite taste- a true French classic house. There are several restaurants within a very short walking distance- Le Village is highly recommended with fantastic quality food and service. The local navette service runs every 15 minutes taking you into the town where you can experience fantastic French markets and local shops. You can also take the train to Monaco (40 mins) or to Cannes and further afield in the other direction. This is the second time I’ve stayed in Cagnes Sur Mer and recommend this area, being both quiet and convenient for other locations. The property is only a 20 minute drive from the airport.

Absolutely WONDERFUL Stay in the Most Charming Village!

We stay almost exclusively in VRBO properties - and we've traveled the world! And wow, there are some incredible places!! Our most recent stay in the South of France is exactly WHY we choose these types of experiences - this property was absolutely PERFECT! Our only challenge was finding a place for our car in this small hilltop village - at the time of our visit, many of the roads in and out of the village were being worked on so parking was almost non-existent. The marvelous thing is that our fabulous host, Adeline, had the ideal solution so problem solved! And that was a great early indication of how incredibly helpful and caring Adeline was throughout our stay. She was - and is - amazing!! The photos of this historic property were beautiful so it was such a pleasant surprise when the actual house was even MORE beautiful in person. It is ideally situated in this special village - just behind the charming town square with several restaurants and two pétanque courts. The house has three levels that were all recently and beautifully renovated. The "master" is on the upper level with an ensuite bathroom and a small but delightful deck that has a view of the Mediterranean. The house is quiet and peaceful - even during the evening hours. Adeline has thought of everything - the house is fully equipped and includes extra umbrellas, sun hats, beach towels and thoughtful touches like a yoga mat and even a set of pétanque balls! Incredible! We LOVED our stay!!
