âVRBO can be hit or miss, but what made this one work for me was the communication from the owner. International travel somehow screwed up my access to the app so the owner texted directly with me and got me in! The place was small but thatâs all I needed and it worked out great. â

âWe like to book via VRBO because we can use their app to communicate with the host. Unfortunately this host is not there to see to the check-in and check-out. Her concierge for the check-in could only contact us via email due to our limitations and him not having access to VRBO. We had to wait for him to be available. On checkout it was someone else and the host did not let them know that we could only communicate via email so we had to take our chance and leave the keys under the mat....

âProperty was a short walk from the local train station which made life a lot easier with a grumpy 4 year old and 1 year old after our flights had been delayed from England. Close to all the local amenities and lake. Excellent communication from the host. The only issue was having to carry a pram from the second floor down to the bottom floor and vice versa.â

âThis quiet, comfortable Annecy apartment is within reasonable walking distance of lake, old town, groceries, shopping, and restaurants. The kitchen is very well equipped. Secure garage parking is available, but costs an additional 20 Euro per night. Also, the security deposit is made in cash, which we had not expected.The shower is adequate, although it drains slowly â just a headâs up! We were surprised by a puddle our first morning. Also, a small supply of dish washer and laundry detergent...
