“The value for the money of this place was excellent. You have to pay a small fee for access to the Big Canoe amenities, but it was well worth it. Be aware, this is a cabin-like place in the woods. There are spiders, and lots of them. One or two may even get into your cabin or spin a web on your car. Just remember that you are in their home and you'll be okay. Wifi is spotty at best.”

“There were several maintenance issues. The faucet at the kitchen sink spewed water when turned on. The upstairs bathroom door would lock but not "latch" when closed. The hot and cold water was "reversed" in the sinks. The air-conditioning didn't work in the basement. The air-conditioning would not stay set on our selection for upstairs, this was a issue with being in the 90's outside. Other than these maintenance issues it's a great property with fantastic views.”

“The cabin itself is a 10/10—a fantastic retreat that made for a wonderful stay. However, potential guests need to be aware of the access conditions. Reaching the cabin requires a 4x4 or AWD vehicle; a standard 2WD car will not make it up there at all. Additionally, the listing advertises available parking spots, but the driveway is so steep that even our AWD vehicle couldn't drive up it.
