I’m writing a review so the homeowner knows exactly whats happening in their home. Upon arrival, the house smelled of cat urine, the sheets and bathing towels were dirty and had black hair all over them, the coffee mugs were dirty; I sent pictures to the host- they had a cleaner bring us new sheets and towels and she advised we could remove area rug under table that smelled on urine, so we moved the furniture and rolled it up and carried to porch and someone else picked it up later on Saturday, the cushions especially downstairs on the patio haven’t been wiped down or cleaned in quite sometime, the biggest issue was the pool, it was in terrible shape and extremely dirty- I asked for it to be cleaned, was told over and over again someone was coming and always a no show after the host confirmed a time- finally with 2.5 days left of our week- the pool company came to clean the pool, the levels were poor and not safe to swim. I then received a call from another host apologizing for all the issues. We are homeowners and have VRBO’d one of our properties w a pool and this would never happen. I asked the host to speak to the homeowner, I sent many photos throughout the trip and kept getting an auto response thanking me for my patience and as you can imagine- my patience were gone by the 4th day. To pay almost 1k a night, the home should be in tip top shape prior to every check in. I give the house layout/location a 10 and the hosts, upkeep and cleanliness a zero.
