“The cost of our room was reasonable; however, 3 out of 4 light bulbs in our bed room did not work. (Both lamps with defective light bulbs had electric outlets which did work.) I liked the fact that the sink was in a separate room from the shower and that we had access to USB ports to plug in our hearing aid chargers. Finally, the drain for the whower/tub was slow. ”

“It was easy to check in/out. Not a whole lot of eating establishments, etc. In the immediate area. The beds were horrible. They were extremely hard and every time anyone moved the beds made a noise. Did not sleep well at all and for that i would not return to this hotel.”

“Very comfortable and well cared for. Spiral staircase to large upstairs bedroom. Wood floors shining. Property is on a dirt road which is a bit rough but also, no traffic past the lodge and a good place for a walk. Though we brought our own food, there was a lovely plate of apple cake,cookies and loaf of homemade bread waiting for on arrival that we enjoyed. A nice touch. “Peggy was VERY helpful, by providing information in the room for Groundhog Day. Her communication was thoughtful (providing check-in information, a hand-drawn map of the surrounding streets and highlighting the parking, and a list of local restaurants in Clearfield). There was a kitchen and full-sized refrigerator, as well as soda / candy / chips available to purchase on the honor system (it was good for my kids to see that). This was beyond perfect, and I couldn't recommend it more. ”

“We were delighted by this property! The historic cabin was a great place for us to stay as we traveled to PA for a game at PSU. It was a little further out than other options we considered, but we are glad that we chose this one. Very cozy, well appointed kitchen, and big table for gaming made for a wonderful stay. Also loved reading about the cabin and property, looking at the artifacts, and hiking in the woods. We would love to come back!”
