“Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here.”

“We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. When the room costs £500 per night this is totally outrageous. The hotel was empty so it would have been a nice gesture to offer a 1pm checkout given at most high end hotels 12pm is standard. “Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. Overall the staff at the bar and in the restaurant and around the hotel...

“Staff were accommodating, kind and friendly. Rooms super. Views fantastic. Peaceful. Efficient.”

“Management didn't think about the impact of the hot weather as the room was so hot and they supplied a tiny fan that did nothing to cool the room. Lots of spots in the hotel needs updating or repairing. Both the staff and the leisure amenities were great.”

“The Hotel is set in lovely surroundings. Swimming pool is excellent. the room was small and a long way to walk to get to it. We had a large room facing the front gardens last time and prefer that even though it is a bit dated. The fried eggs they brought out for breakfast fresh from the kitchen were cold not certain how that happened.It was as if they came from the fridge.”
