Paddle stairs lead up to the mezzanine bedroom, where a comfortable double bed awaits beneath the eaves. Outside, the patio is the real highlight, boasting far-reaching views across the reservoir. Here you can unwind in the two-person wood-fired hot tub or enjoy al fresco dining using the brick-built barbecue as the sun sets over the countryside.

A short stroll brings you into the charming village of Welford, set on one of England’s historic coaching routes.
