The room was pretty decent however the main issue was the noise from the road. It’s really strange how they have done nothing about it, I’ve stayed in other roadside hotels and there’s been secondary double glazing to keep the noise out and it works. Also the curtains were terrible so when you inevitably got woken up by the traffic noise the room was flooded with early morning light so there was no way you were hearing back to sleep. Hoped breakfast would make up for it, as it was included in the rate and you could choose anything from their menu. However, we ended up waiting about 40 mins for the food to arrive and it wasn’t really worth it. Sorry but that’s really unacceptable for a hotel. People want to start their days quickly. Also I was given my fruit juice in a filthy glass.

Very comfortable stay.
Very comfortable room. Staff really pleasant and helpful. We had an early start and they put a light breakfast in our fridge for us. Next to a busy road but no noise in the room. Very reasonable price too.

Not great for business travellers
Not great for the business traveler. Breakfast not served until 09:00 isn’t workable when you have meetings to go to. Also worth noting that it is next to a busy road that gets noisy quite early. Service was ok, food was ok, no toilet paper in the room, when fed back was told there was a new cleaner.

Unfortunately this was my 3rd stay and was not good compared to my previous stays, there was a lot of noise from the room above, I believe staff accommodation twice I asked for if it could be sorted and it wasn't. The A/C then stopped working meaning I had to sleep with the window open and try to sleep with the constant road noise.

Excelent food and great breakfast. Great value for money Accomadation downside a bit noisy as on the main road and our room at front of property. But would certainty stay again

Comfortable rooms, great food
We really enjoyed our stay - staff were very friendly, room was comfortable and having a fridge and fresh milk was a nice touch. The breakfast was fantastic, as was our evening meal. There is quite a bit of traffic noise from the road but the windows blocked it out well.

Great stay!
Great stay in a no frills but comfortable and friendly 'Auberge'. A couple of minor maintenance issues but they did not detract from our stay. Lovely staff and super breakfast with a full menu choice.

Although not on the menu they assembled a lovely vegan cooked breakfast for me. Staff were lovely and helpful. Bed was really very comfy. The only thing I'd like different was the room was too warm, even though it was -5 outside and we had the window open and the heating off

Great food and great service. Had to leave before breakfast was served, so they provided this the night before! Main road outside can be a little noisy though.

Every thing was fine except that the included breakfast only started at 0900 am. Alternative was supplied but not the same as a cooked one.

First class stay
We've stayed in many B&B's in Norwich but this one was certainly one of the best.Accomodation was spotlessly clean ,bed was so comfortable,very impressed as I have back issues so find most beds uncomfortable.Breakfast ,such a choice available and it tasted delicious too.We ate in the restaurant in the evening too and couldn't fault the food.We will stay again ,without any doubt .

Room was fine, apart from a very noisy kitchen extraction system which, along with the road noise, meant a poor night's sleep. Nice touch with the fresh milk in the fridge, much nicer cup of tea for it. Dinner was very nice.

We enjoyed a very comfortable one night stay at sugarbeet, bed was huge and the sheets were certainly not cheap! Breakfast was huge, with a very good menu to choose from. Staff were polite and courteous, and we would definitely recommend this guest house.

Lovely stay even better with air conditioning in room now as rooms get very hot and due to traffic .Staff warm and helpful.Rooms clean Food very good breakfast lots of choices .The only little moan was a wedding on the Saturday that was not the problem it was the idiots in the room next door swearing shouting and making as much noise as they could till 1 o clock in the morning not staff fault as you can’t help the people that book in but next time I will check if anything going on .We have stayed here many times before and hopefully again

In general very comfortably bed and room okay . Evening meal okay . Very Noisy people in the other Room till about 11:00 p.m. noisy rooms in gen Shame breakfast doesn't start servicing till 9:00 a.m. But was given the night before A bowl cereal and natural yoghurt and a sandwich. Stair carpet in need of z good clean.

What a beautiful place room was really big very clean and beautiful decorated. The staff so polite friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enormous and beautifully cooked. I couldn’t fault it in anyway .

Great stay.
After cycling the tour de broads this was a great place to come to. The staff were all great from the moment we arrived. Lovely clean room and a good shower. Only slight issue with the room was that it was really hot, however that was partly down to me as i didn't see the aircon unit till the next morning. The Sunday roast i had was lovely. Probably not the place to stay if you are looking to explore the city but i would highly recommend a stay here.
