40th birthday trip
The house was great to stay in and it was conveniently located. We didn’t want to leave the house once we checked in the theater and the pool table was all we needed. The host was quick to respond to our questions. I would definitely stay with him again.

Great Location!!
If you are looking for a place to stay right near the casinos, this is the place. Great layout, clean, and a 2 min ride to Mohegan. Joe was easy to get a hold of and would answer any questions we had. Over all a great experience.

Comfortable, good location
We had a very nice time staying at this house. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and living area was great for a large group of people. The projector was very cool for having a movie night and speakers sounded good! Having a deck was nice too. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Plenty of parking in the driveway available. It was a good location, very close to casinos and about 40 min drive to RI beaches. Also there was plenty around us (cvs, Dunkin, Starbucks, gas stations etc) in case we needed anything. Also the showers had good water pressure! The only criticism I have is that the floors were dirty. All of our feet were dirty on the bottoms when walking around barefoot. Otherwise the place was clean and host was easy to communicate with.

Hi Dana! Thanks for the great review. As a side note, All the floors are brand new (we just replaced all the flooring in the entire house so the flooring isn't dirty, we floor clean and deep mop between each stay but If your guests walk outside, enter the deck or in the garage barefoot/without shoes on, it will make your feet dirty. Best!

Nice, clean space for a large group of people to enjoy.
I booked this Vrbo for my boyfriend's 21st birthday because of its proximity to the casinos. There were 10 of us and there was we comfortable fit in the space with each bedroom having 2 people and a few people choosing the couch. I had never rented a house before this and it was a great first experience. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised when there were plates, pots and pans, cups, and assorted kitchen utensils in the house. There was also a washer and dryer which came in handy. It was only about 15 to 20 minutes away from Foxwoods and surrounded by a variety of places to get food and stores like CVS. Overall it was a very nice home and a good fit for our group!

Good time@
Property was perfect for our New Years getaway. Comfortable for 4 couples. Friends enjoyed our karaoke on the giant TV! Nice quiet neighborhood but minutes from downtown.

Great stay for Miss A!
Our group of 8 stayed for a full week while in town for the Miss America competition being held at Mohegan Sun. Lots of room to relax, comfy beds & well appointed kitchen were much appreciated. *Missing silverware from earlier review was located in the narrow rack at the very top of the dishwasher:-). Took advantage of the complimentary K-cups & loved using the pellet stove to take the chill out of the air. Joe was responsive when questions arose, like figuring out the projector, & was willing to chat by phone to expedite a solution. He also welcomed our suggestion of adding a table/chairs to allow for ample seating & playing games. **Highly recommend La Stella Pizzaria in Norwich! Amazing Italian cuisine & staff is the best!

Plenty of room and room to improve
The property was on a quiet street with easy highway access. The large living room/kitchen area was very nice for my family of 6 adults. Each room has window air conditioning available. The house is overall surface clean. Large bath towels were provided, but no hand towels for the 3 bathrooms. Hand soap, and small travel size shampoo/conditioner were provided in the bathrooms, but no shower soap. Linens were provided for the beds, but I had to search for the sheets for the upstairs king size bed and eventually found them in the basement dryer. The “extra blankets” were two lap size blankets in an indicated closet; bed sized blankets would be nice as each bed has only a top sheet and thin comforter. Overall plenty or room and room to improve.

Needs work
The house was not clean. The sliding window was smeared, there were beer cans and trash by the fire pit, the ceiling fan in the living room was filthy, there was mold on the lower bathroom ceiling. The bed in the lower bedroom was broken. We tried to fix the legs and the slats, but it was horrible to sleep on. The light in the laundry room was burned out. The bed in the master upstairs was about 18" off the ground. Just a note: The stairs going up to the main level were very narrow and steep. Take this into consideration if you have elderly people in your group.

Apologies for your experience! We deep clean the property after each stay. We will look into each of these issues and correct them before the next stay. All ceiling fans were just cleaned. Sometimes the housecleaner misses the firepit as its outside and they are focused on the interior cleaning but we will be sure to check it. We were in contact with you several times and not once did you have any complaints about your stay so Im not sure where all this is coming. Had you mentioned any issues, we would have been happy to fix any situation. All the best and again apologies for the experience.

Close to Mohegan
Positives: My friends and I enjoyed the location of the house. It’s only 2 miles from Mohegan so we took Uber/taxi there each night. Check in process was so simple, contactless. Joe responds quickly to messages. The porch and yard are nice to be able to go outside in nice weather. There are plenty of beds and a large open space to all gather in living room/ kitchen where we spent most of our time. Downsides: We couldn’t get the projector to work, but didn’t reach out to try because we were ok without using it. The kitchen is modern, but there’s not much to use so I recommend bringing your own things if you want to cook! Also, the lid on the upstairs toilet doesn’t fit the seat and only opens partially so it touched your back when sitting. More of a nuisance than a problem. Also, we found the floors and walls to be fairly dusty. This confused us since Vrbo charges a cleaning fee. We expected the floors to be recently washed. Dusty enough that I slipped going down the hall. Overall: We had a great time at this house! We were so glad the size fit us all since surrounding houses are super small. If I was to do my weekend over I’d still stay here.

Good place for the price for a weekend get away with family
The house and the property were as expected. We were away to visit Mystic Seaport and Essex Train so it was a central point for us to both. We had kids so did not go to the casino, but it was very close. The rooms were a decent size and we also utilized the firepit in the back yard. Took a bit to get used to how to work the entertainment system, but the young kids figured it out. Only improvement would be some additional silverward. We like to make breakfast when we stay at these homes and could only find one butterknife and maybe 1 or 2 small spoons. Otherwise it was a good time and would recommend.

Unable to stay with children
This listing is not suitable for children- better for adults. House could use better cleaning procedures and a few more fixes to flooring and AC units. Owner was responsive and fair.

Hi! Apologies for your experience. I agree, this house is definitely more suited and designed for adults visiting the casinos but it is suitable for kids as well. There is an AC unit in each room with 2 in the living room allowing for individual room temperature control which is much better than central air where airflow is not always distributed evenly. This house is spectacular. Everything about it was amazing and I honestly plan on coming back in the future. It’s less than 20 minutes from both casinos in CT too. The projector was so great, watching the Patriots on the big screen never felt so fun. Thank you Joe!!
