“Freezing cold in the room when we checked-in at 12:30am for a few hours of sleep. Despite trying to to get the heating going, incl. help from the staff, it was still like 13-14 degrees Celcius in the room an hour later. So, at 1:30am we got a another room. Again some 13-14 degrees in the room but this time the staff at least got the heating running and they also brought some portable heatets. At 2am the temperature in the room was at least decent. We cannot understand why the heating wasn’t...
“Very nice place for both longer and shorter stays. I stayed one night before hitting the road. Pam is an amazing host! Was offered muffins and tea upon arrival.
The room was super cozy and so was the garden just outside. The breakfast was the best I ever had in a hotell/bnb so far!

“The motel was great. Close proximity to transport and shops. Bed was comfortable, kitchenette was handy to have. Carpet in room was a little tired. Reception friendly and helpful. Had a minor issue with the heat pump and it was attended to immediately and we were also given a heater. Perhaps a small chest of drawers in the bedroom to store clothing and a broom and/or a dustpan and brush would be helpful. Enjoyed our five day stay and will return to the V Motel. It’s a great place. ”

“The unit was excellent but the when we arrived and I asked if he wanted the Expedia booking reference he rambled on about ‘fat cats in America’ taking money offshore and that it’s better to look up the price on there and then to call the motel direct (to cut out the middle man).
Was unimpressed to be lecture us like this? if you want to advertise on their platform accept get they take a commission and don’t try to circumvent the process that brought the customer to you. ”

"Great hotel, what a surprise. We stayed in many places in NZ during our trip and this hotel was the best. We did not expect that from an airport hotel.
