Three bedrooms, sleeps 8, fire pit, fully fenced yard — ten minutes from ACE Adventure Resort, fifteen from New River Gorge National Park in Fayetteville, WV. Pet-friendly with prior approval ($40/dog/night, max 2). A straightforward basecamp for groups, families, and couples who came to spend time in the gorge, not figure out where they're staying.
**Your gorge basecamp.**
Oak Hill, West Virginia. You pull in, unload, and the fenced backyard is already waiting. The fire pit's out back. The kitchen's stocked. The gorge is ten minutes away and you don't have to think about anything else until tomorrow.

Ten minutes to ACE Adventure Resort. Ten to downtown Fayetteville. Fifteen to the New River Gorge Bridge. Six minutes to Grants Supermarket. The guests who keep coming back say the same thing: this house is just easy.
**Three bedrooms. Sleeps 8. Real beds for everyone.**
- Primary: queen, blackout curtains. The room you want after a full day on the river.
- Second: two queens, great natural light. Perfect for two couples or a family that doesn't share well.
- Third: queen, its own corner of the house.
Full bath, renovated and well-stocked with fresh towels and essentials.
**The house.**
Open-concept living and dining — the layout that makes groups actually work. The kitchen is fully stocked: a drip coffee maker, a French press, ground coffee ready to go, full cookware, and enough counter space for a real group breakfast before a long day on the river. Smart TV, fast WiFi, books, and board games for the night, everyone's too wiped to move.
**The outdoor space.**
String lights on the deck. Fire pit in the yard. Charcoal grill. Fully fenced backyard. Most groups migrate outside within an hour of arriving and stay longer than they planned, and honestly, I get it — there's something about this yard at night with the fire going and no particular reason to go back inside.
If it's just the two of you — fire lit, no agenda, the gorge a ten-minute drive away for tomorrow — this is the version of the trip you'll want to come back for.
**This house works for:**
The group that came to do things. The family that needs room to spread out. The couple who wants a real basecamp, not a hotel room. The remote worker who needs a week that actually resets something.
**Traveling with dogs?**
Dogs are welcome here — but I require prior approval before you book, so please message me first before completing your reservation. Pet fee is $40 per dog per night, max 2 dogs. A Dog bowl, a water bowl, and pet blankets are ready when you arrive. The yard is fully fenced, with one section that runs a little lower than the rest — most dogs are completely fine with it, but if yours is a jumper or under 15 lbs, plan on supervised yard time rather than leaving them out unsupervised. Not sure if your dog qualifies? Just message me — we'll figure it out.
**Where you are.**
- 10 min → ACE Adventure Resort (whitewater rafting, zip lines, climbing, waterpark)
- 10 min → Downtown Fayetteville, WV (Pies & Pints, Cathedral Café, Court Street)
- 15 min → Canyon Rim Visitor Center & the New River Gorge Bridge
- 12 min → Long Point Trailhead (best bridge views in the national park)
- 35 min → Summersville Lake (swimming, kayaking, scuba)
- 30 min → Winterplace Ski Resort
- 6 min → Grants Supermarket · 12 min → Kroger — everything you forgot to pack
You're ten minutes from the gorge and six minutes from a grocery store. That combination is rarer than it sounds.
**Before you arrive.**
Message me. I'll send you a cut of the local guide tailored to how your group likes to trip — hikes by difficulty, restaurants by vibe, and the spots that don't show up on any list. The full guide is mounted in the kitchen when you get there.
Check the calendar and pick your weekend. It fills faster than you'd think.
