Five Oaks by-the-Sea, den perfekta Sjöfarts havet fly.

Vacker seaside "Lunenburg Bump 'hus, bara några minuter från staden Mahone Bay. Five Oaks 10 sover bekvämt så det är perfekt för familjesammankomster. Huset är tjugofem år ung och byggd för att replikera en traditionell 1700 Cape hus med Lunenburg Bump. De flesta rum har vidsträckt utsikt över bukten. Ett stort däck, med utsikt över vattnet, gör utomhus konversation och måltider en vind. Fastigheten står inför 300 meter strandlinje med utsikt över majestätiska Mahone Bay. Gå längs Hanson och Hirtles Coves på en av områdets särskiljande och lugn vik vägar. Barnen kommer att älska att utforska den klippiga kusten vid lågvatten.

Det finns fem sovrum, två på entréplan och tre på andra våningen, inklusive en två rum länkad familjesvit. Ett vackert vardagsrum komplett med öppen spis ser ut på bukten. En separat allrum, även med en öppen spis, innehåller all teknik familjer behöver, inklusive en stor 42 "platt-TV och DVD-spelare. En nätt Lunenburg Bump utkik sitter område på andra våningen är det perfekta stället att läsa eller prata över morgonkaffet. Hemmet har vackra furu plankgolv i hela.

Ett nyrenoverat kök och matsal, komplett med nya apparater och alla bekvämligheter i ett hem slutfördes 2012. Huset är Wi-Fi utrustade. Uteservering är perfekt på husets nya främre däck. Det finns också en ny gas grill. Faciliteter inkluderar även två badrum (ett tre bit och en fyra bit).

Vi har möblerat Five Oaks med en kombination av gamla och nya - nya sängar och soffor kompletteras med vackra antikviteter från området. Egyptiska bomullslakan och fluffiga vita handdukar göra platsen känns som hemma.

Lokala butiker har underbara lokala favoriter som fishcakes och hummer rullar, blåbär scones och varma hallon muffins. Du kan äta i eller prova några av de många fantastiska restauranger i Mahone Bay, Lunenburg eller Chester. Alla tre städer är bara en kort bilresa bort.

Stora lokala stränder inkluderar Hirtles, Crescent, Green Bay och Rissers. Kör din cykel längs de många kurviga vägar som omfamnar havet!

Lovely Mahone Bay stay

Had a great week at the Oakland house. There were six of us and the house suited us very well. It was very hot but being in the trees helped keep the house cool. The kitchen has been updated and was well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the unique lighting fixtures! Deer came by every evening which was a real treat, especially for the little ones. The area is nice and quiet and the view from the patio is beautiful. We were a little disappointed that the hot tub that was included in the listing isn’t there as the kids would have loved it. There are two kayaks to use but we couldn’t see a way to get them in the water in front of the property so didn’t use them. There are a few nice walking trails in the area.

A comfy home!

This is a great place to stay if you need to work but also play. It has high-speed internet for those grinding days, set in a modern five-bedroom home. Two bathrooms mean little to no waiting time. The kitchen has lots of cooking and baking containers and trays if you want to get creative, but there are also several great restaurants nearby, like Oh My Cod! Halifax is also only an hour away, where you can visit the Citadel, the Public Gardens, and more, and have a great supper. The house was clean and bright. Having the air conditioners came in handy when a heat wave passed through, but otherwise, the windows were open to catch the cool night's breeze. You can pack light as there is a washer and dryer in the basement. Take time to enjoy a paddle in the bay in one of the two kayaks on the property. The lawns and gardens are well maintained and the view from the porch is outstanding!

Beautiful home to gather together!

We had a family gathering at this beautiful home! The teens loved the cove! We brought our paddle boards from home and they spent hours. Hanging out of the deck snacking, having a glass of wine and catching up with family was lovely!

Lovely home

From the minute we arrived we were enchanted. This was the perfect choice for our family of five adults and one child. It had everything we needed and more than we expected. Charming decor and plenty of space for everyone. The deck was a favorite gathering spot with its stunnig view of Mahone Bay. The bedrooms were charming, the kitchen had absolutely everything you could need, and the living areas were cozy and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home.

Beautiful location

A fantastic home with lots of room for the family to spread out and relax. Nice view from the front porch out to Mahone Bay and 2 kayaks with life jackets to go and explore. Nicely appointed kitchen and lots of space to eat inside and out but great restaurants nearby if you want to go out and there’s an ice cream shop only an easy and scenic 20 minute walk away!

Lovely house on Mahone Bay…

Well appointed home on Mahone Bay across the water from the town. Lots of room for everyone, close to hiking trail and very short drive into town for restaurants, shopping. Small herd of deer roaming nearby was nice surprise too.

Great location & plenty of room

Our family had a wonderful time at this home. There was ample room for us to gather together, inside and outside. The bedrooms were charming, and the kitchen was stocked with most of things that were needed for our stay. The view from the patio was lovely and the location of the home was perfect for visiting Lunenburg County.

Amazing location, loved Mahone Bay area, house was tricky for seniors...

Thank you for sharing this gem with us! We enjoyed it tremendously, and appreciated all the natural beauty around the home. It was difficult for my parents to navigate getting in and out of the property without a handrail for support and due to their arthritic joints, the suffered a great deal without A/C, so I might suggest amending the listing to reflect the placement of the window air conditioners For the younger gang, it was ideal - my 21 yr old was out every low tide discovering hermit crabs, crabs, and more! I hope that Fiona didn't hit you too hard! Thanks again for a beautiful spot.

Charming East Coast Home

The house was very charming,! The kitchen was lovely to cook in, the view was gorgeous and the two sitting rooms were very relaxing. It hosted my family of seven very comfortably. My only complaints were that the bathrooms could use some updating and the house could use a good dusting. But other than that the kitchen, floors and rooms were clean. The location was perfect and I loved all the deer the wandered across the property in the evenings. Great vacation!

Great spot for a family holiday!

Just outside Mahone Bay and only minutes from Lunenberg this was a great place for our family of 10. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the house was great. James was quick to respond to queries and looked after a couple of little issues very promptly. Highly recommend.

Lovely property

Very charming house on a very large property and perfect for self-isolation (lots of room to walk around and get outside while keeping away from neighbours). The beds were very comfortable, ample supplies in the kitchen for a large party if needed, and a very quiet area with a lovely view of the bay. The owner was extremely accommodating and the check in check out process was quite easy. Would have appreciated an umbrella on the outside deck which can get very hot during the day but otherwise was quite satisfied overall with the house. Thank you James.

Summer visit to Mahone Bay Nova Scotia

Our family stayed at this property in August 2019. The location was great as it was close to town but far enough away for quiet privacy. There is nice separate areas for conversations if you have a big group. Some of the side chairs need to be replaced with more comfortable pieces (everyone commented on this). The kitchen is well set up. We cooked a few meals and also ate some out in Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and Chester. There needs to be updating for some of the mattresses . My husband and I stayed in the main room downstairs and it was comfortable. The rest of the family said the mattresses were not comfortable. The outside patio area has nice views but some comfy furniture would be nice to replace the old pieces . James was prompt to answer any of my questions. The house is in a lovely area and I would enjoy staying again. It was a special trip to celebrate our Dad’s 93 birthday!

Beautiful location with ocean view. A character home with lots of room for our party of 9.

We absolutely loved staying at 5 Oaks and were sad to leave after a week! It came equipped with everything we needed including a BBQ, kitchen utensils, wifi and tv. We spent a lot of time out on the deck looking out over the water. There was lots of room for our party of 9 and never felt like we were in each other’s way. There are hiking/ biking trails just up the road. Mahone Bay has fabulous shops and restaurants - a charming village. Great location for day trips to many great sites. James was great to work with and was very responsive to calls and inquiries.
