Nothing fancy, but an OK hotel.
I had a business week in the Emeryville area, and stayed at Extended Stay. Reading the other reviews I would say my expectations were on par with the experience I had. The hotel it self is OK, the portiers offered the service I would expect. The only suprise on I got was that the kitchen was completely empty, no dishes, silverware or cookware, even though that is one of their selling points that one is supposed to be able to cook ones own meals. Maybe this is offered per request, I don't know because I never asked and didn't really need to use the kitchen.

The hotel and rooms look NOTHING like the pictures. The room was very grungy and old. Not modern looking like the pictues. There was a funky old smell as soon as you walk into the hotel and the hallways. The carpet was old and had burn marks. The walls had paint chipped. There was no breakfast (which is included) on our last day there because they "ran out of coffee and stuff " is what the reception lady said. I will never be staying at this or probabably any Exteded Stay Hotels. Bad experience overall.

i made a reservation 1 month in advance and i choose the option on experia to pay at the property when check in . I called the property the check in day and specifically informing them that my flight got delay and i will be checking late and asked if i can pay for the room to ensure i have the room and they told me to just come later . i arrived 10:30 pm and they told me no room available . This is my kid gradulaiton event early next morning and i scamble without the place to stay . This is unacceptable and I would never ever staying at this place again . The management team need to be replaced or may be this is personal owned then nothing will changed .

This hotel was disgusting. Our room was so dirty and sticky with i don’t know what. The whole room smelled especially the curtains and pillows, not to mention they were yellow and had holes in them. Do not stay here. We had to check out earlier do to how gross the conditions were. And was provided no refund

The smells were horrible, the cleanliness nasty, and as we were checking in the front desk receptionist said, "don't leave anything in your car, we have break ins". You had to enter through the exit gate as entry was broken, less a sign to say as much. The whole first floor rank of marijuana. The room itself was poorly maintained and the bed had a single sheet with a very thin cover. Heat was either hot or cold, thermo doesn’t work. Pass as there are better options closer to dining etc.

I stayed only one night. I barely got any sleep at all! There was a family with kids next door making ruckus all night: shouting, banging on the wall, jumping, etc. Also, there was someone staying across the hall with a dog that yapped occasionally during the night. The check-in person was cold. The check-out person was nice. I did appreciate coffee and muffins.

The room desperately needed a good cleaning. It was obvious the carpet hadn't been vacuumed well, the bathroom floor was sticky, splotches of something dark (food?) were on the wall, headboard, wall decor, furniture. The bed had a deep indentation on one side as well. Avoid this place.

This was one of the worst places i stayed at. The the property way dirty. They was pooping underwear in the parking lot. The room had toothpaste all over the bathroom door, and the wall and counter. Then we turned on the lights and there was chocolate or poop on the lights cover. They was food on the kitchen counter and walls. We only were going to sleep for a couple of hours and grabbed the breakfast that they said they had when i called the hotel. So we left to go to the fireworks show. Then we gotroom back to the room at 2 am and the above us was so noisy that we couldn't sleep. Then we get up at 7 am. They is not coffee in room or lobby they was no breakfast stuff. I will never be coming back.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. While I've stayed in many places and conditions, never have I been in a hotel with so many continuous issues, such that my partner and I actually decided to leave and cut our losses to not get our money back. Though I checked upon arrival for bedbugs and found none, throughout the rest of our stay we kept noticing ants, earwigs, and even a cockroach on the second day. These bugs were not only crawling the walls, but were on the floor in the bathroom, crawling out of drains, and even a couple were in the bed (which we saw when we woke up). Additionally, the hotel lobby had a very strong gross smell that was immediately tangible upon walking it, which I would describe as smelling like human fesces and cigarette smoke. The smell does not get better in the elevator nor in the hallways, but did subside in our room (though reading through the reviews, this is not the case for all rooms). Though the deal is tempting, DO NOT BOOK A ROOM at this hotel, and if you decide to against your better judgement (it is a great price for the area), you should make sure to reserve your stay through the hotel itself, so you have a chance at a refund. Expedia will not reimburse you.

First room they put me in 122 Sticky floor and cockroaches within 5 minutes killed 2. moved to 117 Floor was filthy door lock wouldn't lock Toilet wouldn't flash Room was in ill repair and smelled like mold The floor was buckled look like water damage probably where the mold smell came from. TV remote was wrong so it wouldn't work right took 15 minutes to finally get it to a channel. Complain to front desk nothing they could do seems they still charge me full rate took a $100 deposit which I have to wait to get back And the add insult to injury my car was broken into broke 2 widows and stole my tools. There's nothing like stepping in the shower in the morning and looking at your black outline coming from your wet feet knowing that the floor was that dirty.

Just fine hotel room. Bathrooms are recently updated, bed was fine if you like a firm mattress. Pillows were flat. Stove didn’t work and kitchen was only supplied with dishes on request. The one pot we asked for was in very poor condition, and then the stove didn’t work anyway. Breakfast is a myth. Coffee, tea, cocoa we’re available, and packages oatmeal and muffins. All highly processed junk food and not much of it. It did what we needed it to do but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The room appears to have had people occupying it. Both beds had the pillows all displaced and you can see both beds had depression of a person or persons laying on the bed. The tv was on. We asked for another room. The new room was dirty under the beds including all corners as if no one cleans the corners. Inside the kitchen cabinets were not wiped having dist, and food crumbs. There were 4 dead roaches in these cabinets I couldn't find any live ones so that was a plus. There was a live roach on the hallway wall. The elevator floor was dirty. Basically this place newds a deep cleaning in this room and mostly anywhere i looked. I do not recommend this Hotel. The help was very nice and perfessional.

Horrible company. I stayed at one in texas had stuff stolen. Room flooded mold.. and the manager wanted to blame me for the smoke alarm falling off. She never did anything about my Nintendo switch being stolen. Then when i called her out she banned me. Horrible company.

I arrived at 2am and there was nobody at from desk. The security guard said the staff was on lichch break. So I wanted until 230am. I was told my reservation was canceled and there were no more rooms available. The front desk lady didn’t even let my daughter use the restroom. I was glad because the location didn’t look safe. I do have to say the security was very kind and professional. I had to find a hotel at 3am with theee kids in the car. The clerk was not helpful or offered any options.

Stay away!!! This is really not a hotel. It's basically a subsidized building for underprivileged and low income people in the area. The inside is very dirty looks like a homeless shelter and it smells as such. This hotel should place a huge disclaimer on their page and explain this if they want to operate as a described above. We were so shocked that we turned back and asked for a refund and ran away. Luckily the front desk lady was nice enough to give us a refund.
