“Just needed a place to stay on our way to London and ended up in Melbourne. The room we got at Harpur's was in excelent condition. Clean, Good standardA little noice from the street outside but that didn't bother us. Very good service. Had a excelent dinner at their restaurant and a couple of beers. We had 2 weeks of touring around britain, and Harpur's was one of the better places we stayed in. Very good value. Doesn't hurt that Melbourne was a very nice town/village that we never heard of...

“Booked a one night stay to extend another hotel stay close by so we could do the Churnet Valley rail trip. Had a comfortable stay, everything very clean & comfortable. Was a little disconcerted to find we were actually staying in the house with the owner, an unknown experience for us. Julie was very friendly & helpful. Really appreciated the cold bottles of water we were given and the brunch bar.”

“We have just returned home after a 2 week stay at Milford House which we highly recommend. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable and everything we could have possibly needed was provided, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The house is in a convenient location, only a minute or two's walk from the centre of the village. A particular highlight was the bedroom in the roof and the sounds of the sheep and cows in the fields nearby! We enjoyed staying in Tideswell...

“Very cute little cottage. It is very clean, has all the comforts of home but away from home. We didn’t expect all the little extras that make our holiday perfect such as tea, coffee, milk and even biscuits! There is everything you need in the kitchen if you want to cook! It is conveniently situated in the village with shops, pubs and restaurants. Location is also near Monsal trail for walking and cycling along all the beautiful dales by the river Rye.
