Strandhotell i Ojai

“The room was nice and the location was great, close to both beach and the main shopping street. However, it was also close to the Amtrak rail where the trains signaled loudly at all hours (albeit only every two hours or so since it is Amtrak). Breakfast was served on paper plates which suited us fine but didn’t exactly give off an air of luxury. Lovely staff though, helpful with directions and with giving me a bag when I wanted to carry the breakfast up to our room. ”

“The Pierpont Hotel is a charming place just by the ocean. A short walk 5 min, under the freeway, and you are on the beach. There is construction ongoing, and it is an older place, but the little cottage 102 was charming! Rose gardens, great parking by the cottage.Few steps to breakfast. Fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, bagels etc. Outdoor and indoor seats. (Could use a little update). Small pool, good for kids. 10 min walk to Ventura pier. Very nice staff checkin and out very efficient. “Slitet litet 50-tals motell med endast parkering på fram och baksidan. Det var allt. Rummet inte OK för en tusenlapp natten. För det priset ska det åtminstone ingå frukost, vara ordentligt möblerat, finnas kaffebryggare och kaffe på rummen, etc. Kylskåp och micro. Fick tjata till mig en kaffebryggare. Hade med mig eget kaffe. Varken bord eller stol på rummet. Icke fungerande telefon. Behövde beställa taxi när jag skulle åka hem. Killen i receptionen lånade motvilligt ut telefonen i...
