Old Lyme - House rules

**Welcome to Your Cottage Getaway!**

**General Guidelines:**
- No shoes allowed in the property
- Rinse sand off your body and feet before entering the cottage.
- Report any property damage to your host upon arrival.
- Leave the premises in the same condition as you found it.
- Conserve water as the cottage uses a septic system.
- Don`t flush anything except toilet tissue down the toilet.
- Avoid sitting on furniture and beds with wet bathing suits or clothing.

**Trash and Cleaning:**
- Trash & Recycling needs to be put out on the street at the end of your stay(both regular trash and recycling). Use the blue container for regular trash and the green one for recycling. Strict adherence is required, or trash won`t be picked up. If you do not do as follows, you will be subject to a $50 fine.

**Special Considerations:**
- Absolutely no unwarranted parties or events allowed. External cameras will be monitored, and any sign of this will result in eviction with no refund.
- No Animals allowed This has been an animal free zone for decades and we prefer to keep it that way.

- Engaging in illegal activities or hosting unauthorized parties will result in immediate eviction without refund.
- No extra guests allowed inside the unit unless approved by the host before booking confirmation. If you try to bring unwarranted guests in, you may be forced to leave without refund. So, don’t risk it.
- ⁠Extra guest charge $30/pp/PER NIGHT, regardless of whether they stay or not.
- Unauthorized overstay checkouts will incur a fee of $100/hr for up to 2 hours then $500/day.
- Smoking inside the unit will result in a $500 smoke remediation cleaning fee.
- Forgotten items mailed to guests incur a $50 charge plus shipping costs.
- Quiet hours begin at 10:00 pm. If you get two noise complaints, you will be asked to leave without refund.
- Parking on the grass is not allowed.
- Reservation changes are subject to approval, No changes within 30 days of your stay.
- The host may request IDs from all guests. If this is asked, you will be required to do so before you arrive at the property or you will not be allowed to stay without refund.
-Must be at least 25 years of age to book.
- Guests must clean up garbage from the yard every night to avoid excessive cleanup fees.
- Early check-in and late check-out must be paid for at the time they are approved. No refunds. Early check-in/out costs $25/Per hour.
- All issues should be reported within 3 hours after check-in. With photographic evidence.
- All issues that are not reported will not be eligible for a partial or full refund.
- Communication is very important to us. We would greatly appreciate it if any issues could be communicated directly to us, rather than being left in a review.
- If you have concerns about these rules, please refrain from booking. We appreciate your understanding.
