The location of the duplex is a bit more noisy/busy than expected. Lots of sirens going by (close in proximity to a hospital, I think?). The traffic at certain times made it a challenge to back out of the driveway. Check-in was a bit clunky, as the code didn't work. The host was quick to respond, thankfully. As with all old houses, there are some quirks with the property. For example, the bathroom (there's only one and it's upstairs) has a window in the tub covered by a clear shower curtain. Couple that with the main shower curtain and you are basically touching one of the curtains at all times during a shower. Odd, but not a deal breaker. The fully fenced backyard was great for our pups; however, the basement has no door, and our dog fell all the way down the basement stairs when getting excited/rambunctious to go outside (the back door is right next to the basement stairs). Thankfully, the fall didn't hurt our pup, but it nearly gave me a heart attack! We had to rig up a wall of random stuff to block the basement stairs. Overall, the duplex was fine for our short stay. I appreciate the cleanliness of the place and the support of the host when needed.
