We have been to Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach many times. This was our first time at Phoenix. A mixed bag. First the place was great, great balcony overlooking the beach. Easy access to rhe beach. Main reason we came. The bad luck, got a text the day before that the washer in the unit had a recall and we could not use it. They did offer a solution, laundry service free with a 24-48 hoour turnaround. Not useful for a 4 day stay. We wanted the laundry to wash our stuff the night before we left. Also construction was being done and had not been completed in the unit leaving half the bathroom ceiling missing the drywall. Lastly for the bad luck, construction was happening at the building and we were woke up by a power saw at 6:30am on Saturday. The poor management: we were offered a deal for an extra day added to the front of our stay which we were fortunate to take advantage of. But i had already booked my parking pass prior and the pass was not adjusted. I would send texts to the property management but they were often unanswered or not answered very quickly. 10 minutes before check in I finally called and after a couple calls back amd forth it was corrected. Next, i arrived at the property and went to check in the room and the code that was texted to me did not work. Call back again, standing outside the door with our stuff. They reset the code, no apology for another inconvenience, finally get in and start our beach time.
