Staff is very friendly! Housekeeping did a great job! Our neighbors had cockroaches and we kept waiting to see them come into our room via the adjoining doors, but we didn’t! Although fairly recently renovated, our floor had deep gouges and marks, the shower was poorly repaired. It functioned but looked awful. This is a very old hotel, my guess is 1960’s, they’ve tastefully renovated it, and smartly, no carpets to get wet! I recommend a “pool view” room as there are no interior corridors, your room door opens up to outside. The exterior, non pool view rooms open directly into the parking lot. Wish we had a microwave or at least an area in the lobby to heat things up! Water park was amazing! Our group’s kids aged 7-14 and they all (even adults) had fun. It’s a big water park! Pool was amazing! Foam party Saturday night, music by the pool daily! Breakfast at tradewinds was ok, just your basic stuff, skip the scrambled eggs, they’re not even close to real eggs, but the muffins, waffles, fruit and yogurt, all your basic stuff and good. For meals, there are over a dozen restaurants in walking distance, so walk or get delivery. Lots of Ubers available, we never waited more than 5 minutes for one, so save $ and don’t rent a car and pay $30 /day to park at the parks! Hotel shuttle is limited. Walmart is 1.5 mi away, cost $6 to Uber there. Take your kids there for souviners, they have 12 aisles of licensed stuff. A great basic hotel, with some pretty amenities!!
