Neglected and unclean villa - please avoid

For context, my family and I have been booking villas in Florida for over fifteen years and have never had an issue until this stay. After a long flight from the UK, we arrived to find the property nothing like the photos. The villa was dirty throughout, furniture was worn out, several fittings were damaged, the pool water was green and unusable, and the neighbouring villa was an active building site.These problems were clearly long-standing rather than something a quick clean could fix. Faced with an unhygienic and unsafe environment, we had to leave immediately and secure last-minute hotel rooms at considerable extra cost. Despite providing details, the host refused any refund. I strongly advise future guests to avoid this villa until it is thoroughly refurbished and accurately represented.
