“The property was beautiful and very well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Kids loved the grounds and all the geckos. The patios and dining areas inside and out were welcoming and homey. The location was great for us to do Paia, Hana, Haleakala and the Upcountry. I texted with a few questions and got quick responses. Thank you for the great stay!”

“We spent a long weekend at the Elua Cottage and it was so relaxing! It’s stocked with all of the essentials. It has amazing ocean views and even my 6 yr old was sad to leave. Ocean breeze and the sound of the waves all night were so nice. It really is a gem of a place to call home base while exploring Hana. Easy to find, even after dark. Well definitely stay again!”

“The cottage was perfect for a couple. Kitchen was stocked with useful items to allow cooking and eating on site. Sydney was a great host and communicated with us through the tsunami scare in August 2025. She was even gracious enough to let us have additional family members over during the evacuation, as they were staying at a resort on the coast. The land is lovely, and the story of how she and her husband have rehabilitated it into what it is today is inspiring. Our only minor gripes were...

“This location is amazing if you want peace, quiet, and privacy. The hosts, Frank and Ludy, are personable, warm, helpful, and kind. This is my favorite spot on Maui so far and I have stayed in several other places.At night, the forest frogs offer a symphony from the private patio. It’s magical.The place is clean and generously stocked with the essentials.Frank and Ludy are the best!I will definitely be back. “Loved our stay. Great location close to beaches, 'downtown' Paia and Maui attractions. We loved ending our days at Tavares beach right down the road from the house after exploring other attractions and beaches. Perfect location in between so many amazing places to visit! Easy to make meals at home or eat in town. The grocery store in Paia is phenomenal, and the small general store down the street was so perfect. We would not hesitate to stay here again! We had so much fun as a family. ”
