“These guys take care of everything. Make sure you book the ocean front with the plunge pool. Not all bugaloos have pools. The hotel pool is gorgeous too and the entire island is a photo op. Gorgeous. Snorkeling is decent. 2 big Nurse sharks and a stingray. Lots of tropical fish. Beach is gorgeous food is great! Definitely plan to return soon.”

“Great little BnB with only 4 rooms on the property. Talia and Delmar are awesome hosts right down to the authentic Nicaraguan breakfast. The location can’t be beat. Just steps from Long Bay beach and the views are incredible! I was in the Salty Air room with a great ocean view from the balcony. I would go back!”

“We choose between Tortuguero and Maquenque, and having been to lodges in Tortuguero before we choose the latter. Very satisfied, thought it was a completely different experience from the very touristy Tortuguero. The drive up is an adventure itself, bumping through a lovely rural part of the country that don't see much tourism. Excellent tours and guides on offer and all the personell at the lodge put an emphasis on making sure everyone has a good time. Food is top class and lodges very...
