“Very nice place next to the bay. Great service and good food. Note that the terracce can be shared with other guests from neighboring rooms. If you are lucky you get a quiet french couple playng cards, if you are unliucky you may get a spanish couple “working from home without headphones on zoom….”
“Deze ecolodge heeft geen 5 sterren en wie hierheen gaat voor luxe kan beter ergens anders heen gaan. Maar deze plek is fantastisch gelegen midden in de natuur, met wandelwegen naar een waterval. De accommodatie is dus heel eenvoudig met schone bedden en gedeelde douche en toilet. Maar als je na een nacht met junglegeluiden wakker wordt en het uitzicht ziet, wordt je direct blij. Ook de maaltijden zijn van goede kwaliteit en prijs. ”
“The hotel is a sleepy bed breakfast located close to the coast next to a tiny village. The property is older it could do a facelift. The single rooms are small, but functional. The air condition worked great. The pool was a big plus .The staff was very helpful and accommodating. My biggest concern was lack of communication when we tried via Expedia to get more information about directions and check-in. However, it worked ok in the end.”
“Unfortunately never found the hotel as the map locator was 15 miles away. Looked for an hour on the map locator and couldn't find. Hopefully they fixed it now. DO NOT GO TO PORTOBELO village to find this hotel. Maps wrong.”
“Biggest initial impression was the smell of old oil and fish from the water. They need to clean up the mess in the water near the restaurant. Room was nice for the cost. No one showed up to provide breakfast this morning even though the sign said 8 am. So we went hungry. Left the room key on the door handle as no one showed up so we could check out. At dinner, they were out of every menu item I selected. 5th choice for dinner. Lucky, there was only one other menu item left.”
“Great for the price. However, water was an issue and couldn’t take a shower although it was possible. Air conditioning worked well. Also, enjoyed the coffee maker and tea. Quiet. Safe parking”
