The property and its location was very appealing to us. The title “luxury “ certainly was not our experience. The furnishings were minimal. The sofa was very uncomfortable for even sitting and as suggested for sleeping if required would have been inadequate. Bedding was not of a quality for a “luxury” rental as were the linens for the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom mats were clearly not washed between rentals. The area rug in the living area had clearly been used elsewhere and was dirty and stained. There was dust and dirt on the floors, mostly I believe to having sub-par cleaning equipment. I swept and mcgivered a dust pan when we arrived. The kitchen is equipped with upscale appliances-luxury but the utensils, minimal dishes etc are very disappointing. In the morning there was never hot water -needed to wait til at least 9:30-10:00 am to shower. Luckily aur schedule allowed this. The heating system was clearly centrally or unit computer controlled. It was a very chilly week in Ottawa and the unit was not a comfortable temperature and there was little linens to help a person adjust for this. My assessment is that the individual who owns this unit has a very hands off interest in it and the individual or business that are managing the operation of it are not earning there fees. This property as currently furnished(soft and hard furnishings) is not a luxury property.
