Toller Urlaub
Die Wohnung liegt in einem kleinen, hübschen Surferort. Von dort kann man ideal Wanderungen an den beeindruckenden Küsten unternehmen und Ausflüge zu den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Mitte und Nordcornwall. Wir haben eine tolle Woche verbracht.

Großartig
Wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen im Bay House. Das Haus war sauber und ausgestattet mit allem, was man für den Aufenthalt braucht. Zudem sind in der Garage Bodyboards und weitere Strandspielsachen. Die Nähe zum Strand ist unschlagbar, der Strand selbst ist großartig für Familien und Wassersportfreunde. Die Klippen laden zu Wanderungen entlang der Küste ein und bieten einen grandiosen Ausblick. Nicht zu vergessen der Surfshop und Bruno´s Bar, wo man sich abends, gelegentlich mit Live Musik, zu einem Sundowner mit Blick auf die Bucht schön hinsetzen kann. Trevone ist ein nettes, ruhiges Dorf fernab von dem geschäftigen Treiben der Touristen-Hotspots, Padstow ist aber dennoch in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Alles in allem können wir eine absolute Empfehlung aussprechen. Danke an Alison für ihre Gastfreundschaft. Thank you, Alison, for your great hospitality! We love to come back !!!

Great house, lovely location
Had a great week at Bay house. The beautiful beach, with lifeguards really is 2 minutes walk away. House was clean, beds very comfy, towels really fluffy and kitchen well equipped. Great location for exploring north Cornwall. We had a great week, will be recommending to friends and hope to return next year.

Lovely Stay
Very short walk to beach. Beach was truly beautiful and property was comfortable and clean. Building works being undertaken either side of the property at time of stay. Disruption was minimal and not a big deal. Wonderful stay and would return.

A fabulous stay at Bay House!
We had such a lovely time at Bay House, we found the house to be very comfortable with everything we wanted for a stay by the beach, well equipped kitchen and spotlessly clean on arrival, we felt at home as soon as arrived. Being so close to the beach was perfect. We were new to Trevone and it's our new favourite beach with beach shop and cafe serving lovely breakfasts and bar open in the evenings. Walking to Padstow along the coastal path was also a highlight as well as the choice of restaurants nearby. We have already booked to return.

Great house in a perfect location
We had stayed at Bay House back in 2015 and it was wonderful to stay again together with our 2 daughters. Communication with Alison was very easy, and the house is perfectly located close to the beach, with amazing coastline walks in both directions. We found it very comfortable for 4 adults, with options to eat in, relaxing in the evenings or venturing out to explore the local area. We had a perfect week, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

All good, just a few issues.
Nice property, nice location, let down by a few things. One of the settees is very uncomfortable, and the other one is excruciatingly uncomfortable. I had to bring one of the garden chairs in to sit on. The TV is too big, and difficult to operate, as there do not seem to be any instructions. The Fridge door is almost impossible to open, without damaging your fingers. It needs a handle fitted. The bedroom could do with a couple of chairs , to put your clothes on.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Apologies but the sofabed hadn’t been clicked back in and it had broken, I have now replaced. If you had let us know during your stay, our property manager would have been happy to come over and check it out as we strive to make everyone’s stay as comfortable as possible. The other sofa is an M&S sofa, which I still find comfortable, sorry that was not your experience. The TV is a fairly new smart LG TV, I know how annoying it is to find TV’s difficult to negotiate so I chose a point and click one to make it as easy as possible to use (for me and guests). The TV remote instructions were in the blue instructions folder. It is a shame that you found the TV too big. I must admit that I hadn’t considered a chair to lay clothes on in the bedroom, there is a wardrobe, bedside drawers and under bed drawers for storage. So pleased you had a good holiday.

The perfect spot for a wonderful location
We had the best week staying at Bay House. It had everything we could have asked for, for us and our children. Clean, well equipped, very comfortable beds and the perfect location. The garage with all the buckets and spades, body boards and fishing nets was like a treasure chest for the children. It was just perfect. Thank you, Alison and Wendy for all your well explained emails and messages and for being so welcoming. We loved Trevone. It's a very special place.

Fantastic house in beautiful location
This property was absolutely perfect for our family of four (kids aged 7 and 4). Short 2 min walk to the beach, with everything we needed on our doorstep. The house was clean and tidy and extremely well-equipped. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Magnificent!
OK right into it, this house is excellent for 4 adults wanting to chill out and relax, brilliant for small young families who want to build memories and for those with teenagers as they experiment with cool water sports (open garage door and see what’s in their). Located in very quiet cul-de-sac you could’nt ask for a better location. Beach, two minutes away, Bar, two minutes away, South West Coast Path, two mins away. Rock pools 5 mins away. Taxi into Padstow £9. Padstow driving 10 mins away. Magnificent views from surrounding cliffs and beach. Kitchen will be modernised this autumn so no point me commenting, I cooked every morning and two nights, found it very easy to use. One small gripe, sharp knives please and mixer taps when coming to replace plumbing (personal preference). Beds very comfortable. House suited 4 adults comfortably. Towels large fluffy and soft. Nice crisp sheets and warm duvets. Settees relaxing. Loved the paintings on the wall. Huge TV and sound system but we didn’t switch it on once. Excellent Wi-Fi coverage (4 x mobile phones, and 4 x iPads). Had one problem with the toaster, sent text to Alison, next day Amazon? delivered new one. Sit outside in the morning with your tea/coffee and listen to the birds soo pleasurable. Rear garden is also a bit of a sun trap, late afternoon take your chairs out the front. Another good thing is mobile phone coverage is dreadful (across area not house) so you have to go hunting for a signal, no bad thing! Go up to the shop at the farmhouse get the scones, clotted cream and jam(s) to make your own cream tea Would we come back? Definitely, didn’t want to check out and have very fond memories of Bay House Thank you Alison for letting us use your home and Wendy for providing us with a spotless (and COVID safe) environment.

Good accommodation .
Good compact house. Very good communications with owner, very accommodating and helpful. My own personal preference would be for the area at the back to be lawned or decked , and a few bushes and greenery with a couple of lounging chairs on. Thanks Alison.

Just for others reading the review Trevone is a village with a beach shop/cafe, farm shop & pub and Bay House is situated on a quiet, no through, residential road with houses either side, with beach shop at junction; if looking for a truly remote location, Bay House probably wouldn’t fit the criteria.

staying in wonderful Trevone
This is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Beautifully presented and equipped in an ideal location two minutes from the beach and coastal path. we have loved being there and will plan to stay again at some stage. Communication with the owner was brilliant; a really kind, supportive owner who couldn't have done more to make our stay this time, quite special. We give the holiday home 5 Stars+ and would recommend it to anyone! Just great!

Great coastal location
This was our second stay at Bay house we returned due its fantastic location so close to Trevone’s beautiful beaches and coastal path. The house it’s self is warm and cosy. The bathroom and kitchen are getting a little dated but is more than made up for being deceptive spacious for a two bedroom house, very well equipped, very clean and the added extra of the useful utility/drying at the back of garage which was well used as we had the wettest week we have every experience in Cornwall. But this didn’t stop us having a fantastic holiday . Thank you Alison and Wendy

We had a fantastic week , bay house had everything we needed. Comfy beds, great shower and a beautiful beach a stones throw away. Rick steins chippy in padstowe was worth the wait , good beach cafe/shop at the bottom of road serving breakfast baps and pizzas in the evening. Ideal with the kids watching the sun go down sipping a cold beer . Thank you Alison.

We had our holiday yesssssss
As the first week of permitted holidays post lockdown we were not sure how things would work out. But had great comms with Alison and it all ran really smoothly. The house was spotlessly clean and everything was ready and waiting for us. The house is even better than it looks in the photo’s with lots of space. The beds are really comfy and the power shower very good. As other guests have said it is an easy 2 min walk to the beach. The local cafe does excellent pizza’s, and the Farmers Arms at St Merryn has a great menu and also excellent food. Yes we went to Rick Steins chippie and yes they are very good. Also ate at Pucelli’s really good Lasagne and the Harbour Inn good Sunday lunch. At the end of the stay had a little more to do stripping beds and bagging up all the bedding and towels for washing, putting out all the rubbish and giving the place a quick hoover and had to leave by 9:00am which we managed just, but it was so worth it for the break. This is a fantastic property in a wonderful part of Cornwall and we all really enjoyed the holiday.

Short sprint to the surf
This is the second time that we have stayed and is the ideal property for us. A two bedroom and single bathroom that contains one double and one twin the room. The twin room has a TV that serves the computer craving teenager, but only for this and not as a normal TV. No TV in double, but who wants a TV with so much to do in the area. Shared bathroom upstairs. Comfortable seating area combination with small dining area. Washing machine with tumble dryer and drying area at back of garage which can be a little off-putting if you need to fetch in when it's raining You are only 150 yards on the flat from the surf shop and then onto beach and the surf. Always on the quiet side and good for family to spread out for day.

Brilliant house and lovely location
We have had a lovely week at Bay House. Fantastic location, just a minute walk from the beach. The house has absolutely everything you could possibly need and has been extremely well thought out. We loved it. Trevone is lovely. The beach cafe is extremely well stocked and does really good food. We also used the farm shop in the village which was also extremely handy. We will definitely be back and would recommend Bay House to anyone!

The ideal spot to enjoy Trevone and more
We found Bay House a very comfortable base for our week at Trevone. It really is only a two minute walk to the beach, and also a short walk up to the pub which served a lovely meal. Good to have the bits for the beach in the garage too - excellent body boards for surfing!

A 3 minute walk from one of the best beaches in Cornwall. Bay House, was the perfect holiday home. Clean, well equipped and comfy beds. Great kitchen, large freezer and fridge. It was a shame that you didn’t contact me regarding the garage whilst you were there as the lock was replaced the week before and I put the new key on the keyring myself. The garden is as pictured with a newly painted fence and patio area. When you stay next time don’t hesitate to contact us when you are there if you need any help.

Good, comfortable home right near the beach
Stayed here for 2 weeks in Oct 18 (during Storm Callum!) Good, very clean & comfortable, very short walk to beach. Good levels of equipment. Some (minor) things could perhaps do with updating (e.g., as mentioned by another reviewer the dials on the cooker have worn away, but its easy enough to work out, and it still works fine). Shower facia was broken when we arrived - it all still worked though. Alison was very prompt in responding & a plumber had checked it over and a new part was on order. a blind in the main bedroom would also be useful - the current ones are nice, but do let in a lot of light. Overall, a very comfortable place, excellent location, good parking & a very good price.

All the minor things you mentioned have now been fixed, dials on oven replaced, shower facia arrived shortly after you left, there is now a blind in the bedroom now so hopefully it will help in such a sunny room. We also have new curtains and blinds in living room, updates in the garden and lots of new kitchen equipment. Along with our Property Managers Kim and Wendy, we work really hard to make everything perfect for our guests.

Cosy little house by the beach in a perfect location
I am a returning customer to this property. I always feel very safe here and have stayed on my own and with my partner/family. Bay House is kept clean and has everything I need. The location is perfect to the beach and for sightseeing . I like peace and quiet and it offers that too. It feels like home and is very comfortable.

60 seconds walk from Trevone Beach 5 min drive to Padstow
If you want a 2 bed property that is a short walk to Trevone beach and a short drive or coastal walk to Padstow this place is perfect. The house had everything you need for a stay. No negatives.

Excellent location - property needs a bit of work to make it perfect.
The property is in an ideal location, very close to the beach. It is well laid out, well equipped and very clean. It would be ideal if a few little niggles were addressed : The master bedroom only has white vertical blinds which don't block out any light. The second bedroom doesn't have enough storage. The hot water tap doesn't work in the bathroom and the shower screen doesn't fit so water leaks onto the floor every time someone takes a shower. The temperature knob is missing on the oven and the grill / oven dial has had all the indication cleaned away so it is a mixture of guesswork and a faded hand written instruction guide to work the oven correctly. This property was cheaper than comparable ones so these minor issues have been reflected in the price. Given it was a holiday though, we wouldn't stay again unless they were fixed as we value a bit more sleep and the other issues did affect the quality of the holiday as the week passed. We did leave a note for the owner as the manual requested we advise of any things that needed repairing.

Elizabeth, Really sorry that there were a few niggles with the house, our Property Managers and myself try to keep everything at 100%. Just to ket you know that a blind is now fitted in the bedroom, as it is such a bright room. I am surprised that there was not enough storage in the twin room for a week stay as there is a wardrobe, bedside drawers and double drawers under both the single beds. The knob and dials on the cooker has been replaced. We could not find anything wrong with the tap and neither could our plumber or the guests who stayed the next week. You just need to move the shower screen inside the bath but we have made it harder to move. This year I am building in a few empty periods into the season, last year was our busiest ever with the house occupied from mid March to October, with nearly half the guests returning from previous years. This will mean that any problems that occur during the year can be rectified, hopefully without disturbing our guests holidays. Thank you once again for the feedback.

Nice comfortable stay!
Really lovely house! So nice to be so close to the beach! The only down side was the power shower didn’t work, which meant it was hard to get the sand off as hot water pressure was low. But a great little find and close to Padstow too! We had a really lovely holiday!

Lovely house with everything you need and want for a week's holiday
Great location. Close to the beach and even closer to the beach café and shop. Nice to have outside space and off road parking. Very quiet at the end of a cul de sac. There is everything you need in the kitchen. No mobile signal in the house but good WiFi and use of the landline phone for free if needed a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Trevone. Will certainly be at the top of our list when we next look to stay in Trevone.

Comfortable and near beaches and walks

Great Location, well equipped and clean
Fabulous week in Trevone, we have stayed at Bay House before about 4 years ago and returned this time with the kids as teenagers, both times the house catered for us perfectly. Trevone itself has 2 beaches one sandy one rocky, both beautiful. The local beach store is very handy for cups of tea and snacks on the beach, we also had an evening meal there (Peak season only) which was very nice.

The perfect spot for a holiday on the North Atlantic Coast.
This holiday accommodation is perfectly situated between Padstow and St Merryn allowing easy access to the beautiful North Atlantic Coast. The house really is only a very short walk from Trevone Beach which is a small secluded bay typical of Cornwall, being clean, family friendly and well serviced by a shop, cafe and toilets. It has the added attraction of being off-limits to dogs so you are not camped out on a dog toilet like so many other beaches. They have a full time lifeguard station so bathing and surfing is as safe as it can be. Surfers can easily get to a large number of excellent surfing beaches. The house has two bedrooms one with a double bed and the other with two singles. The road is a cul-de-sac with one off-road parking space and is very quiet at night. Everything we needed was provided. We will be going back.
