    Lägenheten ligger i ett tvåvåningshus med utsikt över torget i Mondello och är modernt inredd. Köket är bekvämt och funktionellt, välutrustat med ugn, vattenkokare och kaffebryggare. Man når lägenheten via några trappsteg: till höger om ingången ligger vardagsrummet med soffa, bord och TV. Sovdelen består av två sovrum, det ena med en queen size-säng och utgång till balkongen med utsikt över torget, det andra med två enkelsängar och utsikt över den inre balkongen. Balkongen, som man når från det stora sovrummet och vardagsrummet, är möblerad med två stolar och erbjuder en fantastisk utsikt: härifrån kan man nämligen beundra havet vid Mondello, perfekt för en avkopplande semester och aperitifer med utsikt. Till vänster om ingången ligger badrummet med badkar och dusch, med utsikt mot den inre balkongen (en liten terrass) som även har ett utrymme som används som tvättstuga.



    Lägenheten ligger i ZTL-området (trafikbegränsat område), därför rekommenderar vi att du lämnar bilen på en av de närliggande parkeringsplatserna och utforskar gamla stan till fots.

    Palermo, en av landets vackraste konststäder och Siciliens huvudstad, erbjuder många underbara UNESCO-världsarv som kan besökas i stadens fyra historiska stadsdelar. I detta sammanhang kan turister delta i ”Barocken i Palermo” för att besöka stadens viktigaste monument, såsom Kyrkan av den Helige Frälsaren, Kyrkan Santa Maria del Monte Oliveto och Befruktningskyrkan. Staden erbjuder också möjligheten att delta i ”Rundtur bland Palermos historiska marknader”, som ger besökarna chansen att utforska marknaderna i Ballarò och Capo. Oavsett om det är dags för lunch eller mellanmål är det ett absolut krav att man äter rätterna enbart med händerna! Denna rundtur ger också turisterna möjlighet att beundra framstående byggnader, gator och torg.



    Lägenheten ligger inom gångavstånd från alla bekvämligheter, Mondello-stranden ligger bara 5 minuters promenad bort, liksom det vackra naturreservatet Capo Gallo. Slutligen ligger Falcone och Borsellino-flygplatsen 26 minuters bilresa bort.

The apartment was quite large and very clean. It appears the entire apartment was recently remodeled/updated, except the bathroom that needed some serious work on the shower/tub area:The company representative that met us with the keys was very friendly and informative when explaining about the apartment, We did experience a power failure once during our stay and the company was quick to get back to us to help us get the situation fixed. Location was right in the middle of all the dining options and just steps away from the beach. If you don’t like noise until about 3am, you might need to either get ear plugs or stay further out. We had no problems with it because we can sleep through almost anything, but it was party central, and thumping bass out car windows until about 3:00am.

Love to see the Sea

You are above restaurants and the local marina activity, which makes for a fun people-watching experience. A small store with fresh foods is just out the door and managed by a very friendly couple. Looking out to the water each day is ideal.

Emplacement idéal

L'appartement est idéalement placé,tout est à proximité.La vue est incroyable,et la vie du quartier est très agréable.Une des chambres donne sur la rue et les soirees/nuits sont assez animés !!Nous avions une voiture et avons toujours trouvé de la place en zone bleue non loin de l'appartement.(vous pouvez payer en ligne le parcmetre avec easypark). Si vous allez à Palerme je vous conseille d'y aller en bus (ligne 806) très pratique en 40min vous êtes au centre ville.

July in Sicily

The apartment was great, but it is short on certain things. More towels would be nice, the kitchen is missing basics, like salt/pepper/bottle opener, etc. There is NO livingroom to speak of, so keep your expectations low. Location is great, each night you can sit on the patio and watch the piazza come to life. Broken chair on the patio, and broken beach chair (only one). Very good, inexpensive food all about the piazza.

Where do I begin? Lengthy check in process though outsourced company. The apartment is as described, but is outdated and in need of repairs. It felt icky. Beds are hard as rocks. There is an electric key that is on the keychain, their ingenious way to ensure that ACs etc stay off when you are not in the apartment, but makes things cumbersome. You will come back to a sweltering hot apartment. One party in your group cannot leave and come back on their own without you going down to let them in. For example - my husband likes to wake before the family and go for walks, coffee etc. He cannot take the key with him and come back on his own accord because the ‘electric key’ and the key to enter the space are on the same ring (you cannot separate them) so when he would leave and came back I had to ensure my phone was with me to let him back in every time. This is annoying (provide two keys). The area is VERY busy and loud. The square is under construction, restaurants are below with many people around and while I knew this, the shock of it all was surprising. It is NOT picturesque. Our electric went out (for the ACs) and the house manual gave instructions for this (because I guess this is an issue) but when this happened we no longer had access to the manual (I don’t know why!). When I reached out, they did not respond. At all. I thankfully found the electric panel but I am quite upset that when I needed assistance I did not receive a response. Would not stay here again.

The unit was clean and well maintained. The bathroom needs a little updating, but the rest of the unit was recently renovated. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, etc, but lack of salt and pepper, napkins, paper towels makes it less functional than it could be. The location is near the water and restaurants, easy walking distance to both. If you rent a car, parking is a little more difficult and a few blocks away. Parking and traffic is probably worse in the high season. There is apparently a bus to Palermo, we drove a rental car, and the traffic there is horrendous. The one big disappointment is that the city is renovating the Central Square where the fountain was located in the photos. Instead of a nice open area with direct access to the waterfront, the entire area is blocked off with 10 ft high steel fencing and there is heavy construction equipment working there starting at 7:00 a.m. on weekdays. The host obviously cannot control this, but it should be disclosed before rental is finalized. This construction apparently is going to go on until 2027. Mondello Getaway!

The apartment was perfect! Great location-waterfront 😀you have everything you need pretty much at your doorstep! if you don’t mind seeing and hearing people having late night dinners right below and infront of apartment ( I don’t) then this is a great place to stay at Mondello Bay😀We will definitely come back !!

Great apartment on busy square

The apartment is clean and tidy, bathroom could do with updating to bring it up to standard of the other rooms. It is reasonably well equipped (although coffee pot is too small to fit in the hob and broken beach chair not much use), well situated if you want to be in the heart of the action, conveniently close to the beach with lovely clear blue sea (we went in May/June). Local restaurants can be a bit pricy but the seafood is good. Go to Alementari Schillaci over the road for fresh fruit and veg, great meat and cheese selection and a nice glass of wine. The only thing to marr our break was the lack of understanding and help from the agent when it came to late check out request. Frustrating as we were near the apartment all day and no body had checked in before we left the town for our late night flight, yet late check out was refused due to the next guests arriving.

Loved Mondello

Really enjoyed staying at this property. The location was great. The balcony looked over the village square which we did not mind at all. When you walk out the door, you have access to restaurants, a fruit/vegetable stand (which was awesome), supermarket and above all, easy walk to the beach. The apartment was furnished as stated. We had a little difficulty, at first, communicating with the management company because it would take them a while to answer my questions concerning this property. They did ensure all our transfers were taken care of and, as requested, they sent information about tours, etc. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Friendly environment and no pretension. Small town ambiance.

Located in the middle of small trattorias serving delicious seafood, on a piazza, right by the sea. Across the street, the fruit and vegetable market offers in addition wine, cleaning products, some food like cheese, ham, olives, nuts, etc. Next door you get warm bread and croissant in the morning , and there’s also a meat shop with surprisingly good cuts. On your door step you can take a bus to go to noisy Palermo in 20 min Overall, it’s a very good deal.

Mondello Apartment

Stay was excellent. The location was perfect with the beach and excellent food places nearby. The balcony had an excellent view. The only complaint would be the apartment needed some more necessities such as a tin opener but this was a minor issue.
