Wedding getaway
My husband and I stayed at Cabin on the Lake while in town for our daughter’s dream wedding. It was minutes from restaurants and shopping in Palmer and Wasilla. The view was spectacular and the cabin was the perfect size for us. My husband dozed off on the sofa one afternoon and commented how comfortable it was. The bedroom, living room and bathroom were spacious and there was plenty of closet space as well. Haley was wonderful. Upon arriving at the airport, she texted us dining recommendations enroute to the cabin. She even gave us great tourist tips on things to see and do in the Palmer area. I’m really glad she sent us to Hatchers Pass and lodge. The views (and apple pie) were amazing. Driving instructions and parking onsite were spot on, too. Highly recommend this cabin. Great host.

Stay for wedding
We really enjoyed the peaceful quiet setting it was in and it was easy to fall asleep. great location and beautiful view. no disturbance and I would highly recommend this place for anybody that wants a quiet low stress vacation

Awesome Experience
We loved the cozy little cabin. The views were breathtaking and we were able to experience Alaska the way we wanted to. Our host was so gracious and understanding, and the most hospitable. We would definitely stay again if and when we come back. I don’t think there would be any other option for us.

Relaxing cozy, well- stocked, clean, convenient. Full size truck with extended cab is a little too big for the driveway with lots of snow :). But we did fine. Loved snowshoeing lake around islands and nearby campground - right from the cabin.

Great place overlooking the lake
My friend and I stayed here for two nights. It's tucked away from the road, easy to access. Extremely clean, everything we needed was there, it has a beautiful deck overlooking Finger Lake. Haley was a gracious hostess and checked to be sure we had what we needed. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends..

Cozy and Inviting
This was a great place to stay. It was in a great neighborhood with beautiful surroundings. The mountain views were beautiful and it was very close to town. If you need somewhere to relax and wind down, this is the place to go. Haley was great.

A Great Place to Stay!!! Loved it!

Cozy cabin on the lake!
Perfect little getaway and conveniently located just minutes from where we needed to be. Queit, comfortable and cozy with a view. Will for sure stay here again when in the area. The host was very accommodating , informative and friendly!

Relax with lake views!
What a hidden gem! We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. The cabin is tucked off the main road on the lake with easy access to both Wasilla and Palmer. It was super quiet and has amazing views of the lake. The house had everything you could want to make your stay comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked. Host has amazing communication and was readily available. Wished the weather was a little nicer so that we could have enjoyed our kayaks on the lake, but there's always next time.

Great place!!
What a great place to stay! Whether you use it as a retreat, like I did or take advantage of the kayak and paddle board with the lake, or local activities. The cabin is located in a easily accessible location, it is quiet, beautifully decorated, with great views. I would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect place with everything you’ll need
Haley was a great host! Easy and quick communication. The cabin is the perfect getaway right next to a beautiful lake. The neighborhood/Palmer is quite and very peaceful- made relaxing easy. LOVED the town it was in- restaurants were delicious. The cabin also had everything we needed- from a coffee bean grinder, plates, spoons and an ironing with an ironing board. It just felt like we didn’t have to worry about the little things- which is definitely needed for a good vacation. Definitely recommend!

Really nice place, probably the cleanest and neatest place we have ever stayed in. Nice decor. Coffee beans, grinder, spices. Peaceful, quiet. Kayaks and Paddle boards for rent, we used the canoe, Tv in living room and bedroom, cozy couch and bed. Nice shower. Even though we were between the host and neighbor it was still very private and peaceful. Haley is a great host, very responsive and so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Perfect location
This was the perfect location for our stay. It was peaceful, beautiful and convenient to the hospital where I was working for the week. My girlfriend watched eagles over the lake in the morning. The cabin had everything we needed to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Our Unforgettable Lakeside Guest House Stay Our stay at the guest house was enjoyable from start to end, thanks to the kind welcome from our hosts. Their friendliness set a pleasant tone for our visit. The view from the balcony far surpassed the images and expectations we had before our arrival. Overlooking a well-maintained grass area, a calm lake, and beautiful mountains, was a dream come true for a view hunter like myself. The house itself was clean and cozy. Each room had a mosquito magnet, which was very useful. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and the availability of a charcoal grill was a nice touch. Hosts also provide kayaks and paddle boards for rent. This guest house made a lasting impression on us. I captured hundreds of photos to reminisce about this wonderful experience. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Beautiful, clean, peaceful.
This place is BEAUTIFUL. The area itself is quiet and peaceful. Haley was so friendly and informative throughout the experience. I was impressed with how clean the home is and the bed was so comfy. The sound machines in both sleeping areas were an awesome added touch. A grill was available with charcoals provided. And a cabinet with spices and cooking oils (more than just salt and pepper!) I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a pretty getaway.

Cabin By The Lake Getaway
Was in Anchorage for a week long conference, but didn't want to stay in town. This beautiful, quiet home in Palmer fit the bill perfectly! Price was LESS than the hotel, and had better amenities AND an amazing view! And did I mention it was QUIET? Located in a convenient yet "secluded enough" location, it was great. Only about a 40 minute drive from Anchorage...well worth the drive. Amenities abound, including a cast iron stove (propane powered) for heating. Comfortable queen size bed, high end hotel quality linens. Nice sized shower. Bathroom was efficiently sized, with the washer and dryer stack conveniently located there. Location was easy to find (owner provided directions were spot on), even arriving at night. Lots of nearby local eateries and local places, as well as national chains for supplies. If you are planning to explore the Anchorage/Denali area, this is a great place to base out of. Additionally, the communication with the owner was fantastic. There was an issue (the brand new iron was defective), and it was resolved immediately, and a new iron was provided later that day. The owner also provided great options for local places to eat, and they were excellent! The description of the property was accurate and thorough, and any questions quickly answered by the owner. Would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend the Cabin By The Lake for your next trip to Anchorage.
