Just outside of the village and some nice restaurants within ten mins walk. Breakfast was varied - we asked for different items and there was no problem at all. âBeautiful hotel. Wish we had stayed for longer. Arrived late in the evening and kindly greeting by reception who gave us so much information on the island and Pyrgos itself. Provided us with a bus timetable, restaurant recommendations and the number of a local taxi firm. Our room was beyond our expectation. Lovely and spacious with good storage space. âThis is the best hotel room I have ever stayed in. First of all, our hotel guide Vivian was amazing. She organised everything and anything we needed very quickly. In addition we were able to keep the room nice and cool in our cave room with the air conditioning and had plenty of space for everything, form a nice spacious bedroom, to kitchen, living room, bathroom and vanity area. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a quieter luxury place outside of Fira and Oia,â
âThe best place we have ever been to, staff amazing, rooms were amazing and the location you guessed it - amazing. 2.5minute walk to the beach and 15 min cab to Fira, best holiday ever especially with hospitality like the Tamarix staff provided, we will definitely come back again next year.

âWe stayed in one of the senior suites with a jetted tub on the balcony, top floor overlooking the pool/Oceanside. You get to pick your own breakfast and time they will deliver it to the room. Very helpful and kind staff they booked everything for us. Tip is to rent a quad and drive around the island. We loved our stay! â
âRight from the start we had a fantastic time. Tina was amazing - she went out of her way to help - even dropping us back to the airport in her own car when we made an error about car rental. Nothing was too much trouble. Chez Sophie is clean and the rooms are of a great standard - bed super comfy. Would go again without a second thought

âFriendly and helpful staff, great looking hotel with nice rooms! Calm area close to the black beach, a couple of good restaurants nearby. Easy to get to Fira by bus, a bit harder to get to the rest of the island. The drinks in the hotel bar were a bit pricey but very good.â
