Yes because there were severe thunderstorms the first day of your arrival, the professional pool service company was not able to vacuum the pool and treat the water until the next day. However they did service the hot tub the water was clear and heating o 104 degrees just fine for your use. Since there was an extra day on Friday available it was my pleasurer to grant you another night stay which was at no charge to you. Thank you for your understanding we are sorry it was so difficult for you to leave and we hope to see you back again next year.

Update 01/13/24 Our maintenace has addressed these issues 1) New Hot Tub and pool covers have been ordered and have been back ordered. 2) The skylight and one window has been re-caulked 3) A very small hole in the side of the tub has been repaired 4) A small section of deck railing about a foot in length in the corner behind the hot tub was slightly separated from the corner post and has been reattached there was no safety issue since it was behind the hot tub as the guests described.

We understand your disappointment with the cleaning issues you found. Please be assured that we take cleanliness and maintenance very seriously, and we have addressed the issues you mentioned with our housekeeping team to ensure future guests do not encounter similar problems. Regarding online pictures, we apologize that you thought they did not accurately reflect the current state of the property. We constantly strive to provide our guests with accurate representations, and we review our listings to ensure they are as informative as possible. The "unfinished carpentry work" is the attic access and is not trimmed with molding as it has to be easily accessed to service the upstairs HVAC unit. We are sorry for the difficulties you had accessing the outdoor shower area. We will work with our team to cut back the palm frons and rectify the issue. We apologize for the misunderstanding that the property manager agreed to heat the pool. He informed you in July it likely would not be heated a month earlier than pools at resorts here in PCB normally are heated. We are sorry you thought you were "ghosted" about this issue the week before you arrived. When you called customer service about this on your 3rd day here you were informed he was on vacation the week prior and did not receive your emails. Immediately after you called to report the controls would not allow the pool to be heated he issued a work order to Tropical Spas and Pools and arranged a special service call the next day and another service call a day later. They determined the heating element had been shorted out by a power surge during a lightning storms the day you checked in and a part had to be ordered. It should be noted that after the 3rd day, the air temperature during the week was normal for this time of year. The pool heater and hot tub amenities are now functioning properly. We understand you were disappointed with the amount you spent on the unit, and we regret that it did not meet your expectations. However, in an attempt to compensate you for these issues our property manager offered an extra night and a late check out at no charge. If you choose to give us another opportunity, we would be delighted to welcome you back and provide you with a more enjoyable stay.

Thank you Jake for your 5 Star Review. The spring break Group the week prior to your visit caused a few issues needing repairs that there was not time to fix before you checked in. We had to order a new lid switch for the commercial washing machine lid that the prior group broke when they shut the lid too hard nut it was replaced on the 2nd day you were here. A new back door window insert had to be ordered and did not come in while you were here so it was temporarily fixed until the new one which is a special order item does comes in. The house was just recently completely repainted on the inside.

There was a window insert that had come a little loose in the back door and a new insert had to be ordered and it turned out to be a special order that had to be manufactured and there was only one option to keep the wind from blowing through with water to temporarily secure it with duct tape, this house is rented almost every week of the year spring break is 3 weeks in March families rent it the other 49 week’s and sometimes families cause more issues with small children that the adults do not have control of them while they are here. The guests who were here the week immediately after this guest rated the house with 5 stars with no complaints.

Please take note of our very satisfied guests who have stayed with us twice and their second 5 Star Review submitted for the week immediately prior to this guest's stay. How could it be so different from one week to the next? This 1 Star Guest wrote this review in an attempt to gain a refund. Notice that she said it was "Way overpriced" She does not mention that we sent our quality assurance housekeeping team back the same day they checked in to address her cleaning issues reported. There is nothing misrepresented in our advertising. The bedroom she referred to is exactly as pictured and described as a "Ground Floor Bunk Room with Private Bath Super Single Pillow Top Twin Beds King Size Length" There is no closet advertised. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of dishes, glasses and utensils for vacation rental cooking. The hot tub and small pool is properly pictured and described in the listing. Both were professionally serviced by Tropical; Pools and Spas the hot tub was drained and refilled before they arrived any sand in it was a result of their multiple children entering without rinsing off.. Notice she even complained about our restaurants "food at MOST of the restaurants. Please refer to the below 5 star review describing how we made several recent upgrades during the open week after this guest's visit.

Unfortunately this review is NOT accurate. This house is swept and moped every week. It is right on the beach and the front and back entrances are ground level. When a group of people 16 Adults 4 children and dogs arrive the first thing they do is step onto the beach into the sand. It only takes a few trips in and out of the house and it will have sand on the tile floors within 15 - 20 mins. A few cracked tiles mostly in one 1 bedroom that do not cause loss of enjoyment to the property. These will be replaced in the offseason this fall. The number and size of beds in the house are as advertised except the full size bed in the small downstairs bedroom was moved upstairs to a larger bedroom that had more space along with the queen bed in that room. The twin in that room was moved downstairs to the smaller bedroom for a much better arrangement and 2 new headboards installed.. The fridge and freezer in the kitchen is practically new we have never had a complaint. When there are that many people in and out of it especially children it loses cool air and has to recover. There is a secondary fridge and freezer in the utility room where guests should put bottled water soda and beer and use the main fridge for perishable food. All TVs work but guests put them on the wrong input especially kids when playing video games. If they had told our maintenance man they had a problem when the 1 TV was replaced he would have corrected the settings. The pool was professionally cleaned and proper chemicals added on Saturday before their arrival and a second visit py the pool company on Tuesday and the pool was filtering it comes on at night. .

We do question your comment that the outlets needed replacing or did not work. We tested all of them and all work as they should. Shower rods and inside liners are replaced as needed every week. THere are never any cats in this house the prior guests tied the strings that control them apparently to be out of reach of their children. Thanks for untangling them. There is now a new stainless steel 4 slice toaster plus the smaller 2 slice unit in the kitchen. Gutter downspout has been reattached to the house. Other upgrades made the week after you left are: 1) 5 new end tables and 2) 4 new matching coffee tables 3) 5 new lamps in the downstairs living area 4) 5 new sofa sleeper mechanisms, 5) 2 new occasional; chars in living room 2 new twin headboards and 2 new lamps in downstairs bedroom, It was my pleasure working with you! Please come back and stay with us again

To summarize our response this person was hypercritical and not accurate comparing this house to the Ritz-Carlton. The lights not working were because the guests has tripped a circuit breaker and simply needed to be reset.. Our maintenance man did come the next day after they called however no one was there and he did not want to enter without them being there. As she noted in the review the items were minor items that she did not need taken care of when our maintenance man returned. Our maintenance man took care of every remaining minor issue after the guests checked out.

Thank you Lora I'm very glad to hear that you found the house to be clean upon your arrival and you enjoyed the hot tub the pool, the location and the space of the house for your fily vacation. However there is no need for our guests to bring their own linens. All of the sheets, pillow cases and towels are removed after each stay and replaced with same that have been professionally laundered by a commercial facility after every stay. Comforters and blankets are laundered periodically. Pillows are replaced as needed but many of our guests bring their own pillows and blankets that they're accustomed to using

We do have a 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. check-in window and the housekeepers were out of the house by 4:15 they were not washing their personal items. The roof was replaced two weeks after this guest was here solving the leaks reported. The guest did not know that there was a linen closet fully stocked with additional towels but we brought more for their request.

The house is deep cleaned three times a year but there is not time during the peak season that you were here to do a complete deep clean on a Saturday turnover day.

All of the windows are new your reference to all is not accurate there was some old water damage around 3 of them in the family room which is why they were replaced. There are a few tiles that are slightly loose that will be secured as soon as we have an open week to but where they are located doesn't affect your stay. The pool was heated during your stay but was not set properly.

This guest wrote this review because she wanted a larger discount for the pool not working part of their stay. We have a new cleaning company cleaning for this house to address the issues noted. The house is professionally serviced by Terminix pest control inside and out they inspected and found no live roaches but treated all cabinets with bait and sprayed the kitchen and the entire inside if the house The dead Palmetto bugs in the closets are much larger bugs that can fly and and NOT kitchen roaches. They come in during the rainy season. The upstairs shower leaked down into the living room because the guests left the shower door open while taking a shower. 2 of the 14 kitchen and side table chairs needed the bolts tightened by our maintenance man caused by guests leaning back in the chairs.

This customer emphatically demanded that the house be completely sanitized due to Covid-19 prior to her arrival. The CDC recommends Chlorox mixed with water as a sanitizing agent. The guests entered the house immediately after the housekeepers finished cleaning to the guest's specifications. The residual odor should have been expected and welcomed from our efforts to sanitize all bathrooms, sinks, showers, tubs, kitchen cabinets refrigerators, floors and frequently touched surfaces could have easily been aired out by opening the front and rear doors. The house has a monthly pest control service, spraying inside and outside the entire house provided by a national company Terminix®. They were not available to investigate her report so we sent Bay Pest Control who completely inspected the entire house under the refrigerators and stove, inside all kitchen cabinets and bathrooms and found no bugs of any kind. They provided a written report of their findings and resprayed the entire house as part of their inspection. There was no mold and doors and furniture were clean. This customer wrote this review in an attempt to gain an unjustified refund. We rated her accordingly on Vrbo for other owners to consider.
