Casco Antiguo, also known as Casco Viejo, or the âold quarter,â is Panama Cityâs historic district. Considered a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site, the district dates back to 1673, and features vibrant plazas and picturesque brick-paved streets surrounded by colorful buildings. The area is ideal for walking, discovering history and enjoying a variety of fine cuisine. Come for some of the cityâs best gastronomy, culture and photo ops, and stay to mingle with the locals in the heart of the nightlife scene.
Start your visit with a lively walk through the neighborhood. Youâll encounter some religious history at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Panama City located in the main square, Plaza Mayor, as well as the Church of San Jose, famous for its amazing golden altar. As you walk, make sure to stop at Plaza de Francia The plaza is also home to Las BĂłvedas, a monument that was once used as a defense against pirate attacks.
Casco Antiguo is also home to several of the cityâs top museums, including the Museo del Canal (The Canal Museum), and the Museo de la Mola, featuring the traditional textile art made by the Guna indigenous group. Youâll also find the iconic stone archway at Arco Chato, which is the remains of a church built by Dominican friars, and a beautiful photo opportunity.
Next, be sure to visit the Panama National Theater to see the stunning ceiling frescoes painted by Robert Lewis. On your walk, youâll also get the chance to do some shopping, with opportunities to buy local crafts and visit high-end boutiques.
When you get hungry, youâre in luck. Casco Viejo is home to the heart of the gastronomy scene in Panama City. Youâll be met with the smells of grilled seafood wafting through its historic streets, and youâll get to try some of Panamaâs best dishes, as well as cuisine from all over the world made by premiere chefs. After dinner, check out the nightlife scene, or take in the sunset with views of the capital from one of the amazing rooftop bars overlooking the city.
The property is within walking distance including the metro station, bus stops, and places of interest. Since this is an old city, it was not intended for cars making parking in cars quite difficult and expensive. We recommend using Uber or bikes to move around. Ask us about our E-bike rentals.

đŹïž Doors and Windows: Panamaâs climate is hot and humid. Leaving doors or windows open can cause condensation, which may damage the air conditioning. Please keep them closed to help maintain a comfortable environment and protect the unit.
đĄ Energy Conservation: Energy costs in Panama are quite high, so we kindly ask for your help by turning off the air conditioning when itâs not needed and ensuring lights are off when youâre out of the apartment. This small effort makes a big difference. đ
đ Shoes Outside: If you observe a tradition that involves leaving shoes outside, please let us know in advance. đ« This practice is not allowed in the building corridors for safety reasons.
đ± Plant Care: Our plants add a vibrant touch to the space, and if your stay is longer than two nights, weâd be grateful if you could slightly water them if you notice the soil is very dry. đż
đš Public Order: We understand that travel with loved ones can sometimes be challenging. However, we kindly ask for calm and serious conversations if any misunderstandings arise. Loud arguments or actions that disrupt the public order may incur a $150 fee, and building security may involve the police if necessary. In such cases, we reserve the right to end your stay without a refund.

The house is located next to the Greek Tabern Opa - please note there is always Police presence near to the building, any strange activity they might notice they will inform us, For security reasons, the entrance of the house has a camera therefore we have evidence in case there are unauthorized visitors.
Please note we do not have a receptionist on site, therefore we need to know in advance your approximate time of arrival. Check ins are limited until 10:00 pm.
To ensure a smooth start to your visit, we provide a complimentary set of toiletries upon your arrival. This includes essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toilet paper. However, please note that these initial supplies are meant to get you started, and once they are depleted, we kindly ask our guests to purchase their own toiletries for the remainder of their stay.
