Beautiful, clean, relaxing, well-designed resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great to have on-site, however, the service was very slow. Even when food was preordered for a certain time, we still had to wait for it for about 45 minutes.

더 묵고싶었던 숙소 :)
휴양에 너무 좋은 숙소였어요. 일단 자연친화적이고 예쁜 공간이었고, 맹그로브숲길도 멋있어서 노을도 보고 밤에는 소파에 누워서 별도봤어요. 직원들도 매우 친절하고 조식도 포함이었는데 맛있었습니다. 더 있고싶은 곳이었어요. 스파에서 발스크럽도 했는데 만족! 밤에 잔디밭에 달팽이가 기어다니니 밟지않도록 조심하세요..! 숙소 내 음식점은 가격대비 아쉬운편입니다..

Resort with potential but significant let downs.
Resort with a lot of potential but let down by demotivated and untrained staff. While I am not a stiff person, I do not appreciate if staff members greet me with 'hey wassup'. That is just wrong. In addition, the staff has been trained to provide preferential treatment to external guest (paying through a day pass) versus actually staying guest. In one incident, i was asked to leave the restaurant since they expected a group of Koreans to dine in and they prefer to stay among them. So, I had to no choice but to take a tuktuk and eat outside after a 15 min ride. This was pretty ridiculous and after bringing this up to the manager, she simple asked me what she should do now... well, nothing as too late at that point. Overall, we would definitely not stay there again as the shortcomings are just larger than the benefits. For the price they charge, there is a bunch of better options out there in Bohol.

The Mangrove Walk Is Great
We were comfortable at Zen Villas, and the staff was very nice and willing to help us with whenever we needed. The hotel seems to cater more to families than those looking for romance. There's a great pool, but there were a lot of kids playing in the pool when we were there. At nighttime, you could usually relax at the pool in a more quiet atmosphere, for exercise or romance. Overall, the hotel is quiet, and the live music on the weekends was really excellent. We loved walking on the mangrove walk. That's a really nice feature of the hotel. The bed was comfortable but the chair in the room was easy for sitting and you have to take a shower really carefully to not splash water all over the floor. My suite had a nice little kitchen and refrigerator, which was great. The restaurant was okay, but they'ed bring breakfast to your room and breakfasts were really good. The restaurant had some tasty dishes but we were disappointed that there wasn't more local food to try and no fresh fish. A fresh fish of the day dish would have been nice. We liked staying at Zen Villas for a few days and would recommend it. Bohol is a great place to explore. We're glad we went there and loved seeing the Tarsiers at the official conservation center.

The staff was amazing. They really helped us to feel safe and comfortable while lodging there. The food was 10/10 as well. It's a smaller size resort which is nice if you prefer the quiet. I highly recommend staying here. However as for exploring the surrounding area, it did not feel like a very walkable environment outside the resort. You need to set up transportation or rent a motorbike. They have both options at the resort and even the option to rent a tuk tuk instead of your average car. BONUS - Best happy hour in the world !!!

3박을 했습니다. 2층 스위트룸은 넓고 전망이 좋아 머물기에 편합니다. 노스젠의 자랑인 맹글로브 길도 해질녘이나 아침 시간에 산책하기 좋고 적당한 깊이의 수영장도 물놀이하기에 좋았습니다. 다양한 메뉴를 선택할 수 있는 아침 조식은 보홀에서 먹은 음식 중 가장 정성스럽고 훌륭했습니다. 숙소 규모에 비해 직원 수가 부족해보여요. 직원들은 늘 바쁘게 움직이지만 친절하게 도움을 주려고 노력합니다. 이 숙소에서 가장 불편했던 건 "투어 프로그램"으로 방문한 외부 손님들의 소란스러움이었습니다. 저녁 나절 조용한 분위기를 즐기고 싶었으나 저녁 8시까지 수영장에서 큰 소리로 떠들며 물놀이를 즐기는 단체 여행객들 때문에 제대로 쉴 수 없었습니다. 맹글로브 길에 모기나 벌레가 많습니다. 전 반바지 입고 나무 바닥에 앉아서 선셋 보다가 허벅지 뒤쪽을 마구 물려서 고생했어요. 멋진 하늘에 정신줄을 놓으시겠지만.. 모기 조심하세욧!!

The place is nice and quiet. The walkway through the mangroves is definitely a must see. Unfortunately, we came during the monsoon season so it was raining most of the time. The rooms were tastefully decorated and they have exceptional staff. All together our stay was quite pleasant.

North zen villas 내리자마자 친절한 안내를 해줬다. 로비에서는 비교적 영어 발음이 뛰어난 직원이 안내를 해줬고 말투도 굉장히 상냥해서 들을 때 기분이 좋았다. (앞으로 리조트 직원 채용 시 목소리와 인상 중요시 할 것) 체크인을 마치고 방으로 가는 줄 알았는데, 리조트 지도를 보여주며 리조트 부대 시설의 이용법과 시간 에 대해서 자세히 설명해 줬다. 이런 적이 없었다. 또한 조식은 미리 선택한 것으로 먹을 수 있었다. 다만 사진이 없어서 한 번에 이해하긴 어려웠다. 레스토랑에서는 메뉴판과 음식 사진을 보여줘서 메뉴 선택에 도움이 됐다. 방 열쇠에 와이파이 비밀번호가 있어서 쉽게 연결 할 수 있었다. 그리고 이제 방에 가나 싶었는데 칵테일 무료 한 잔 쿠폰을 줬다. 추후에 레스토랑에 가서 알게 된 내용이지만 칵테일이 한잔에 440페소나 해서 다른 레스토랑보다 거의 1.5배 비싼 것을 느꼈는데 아무래도 한 잔 공짜로 주고 다른 한 잔 시킬때 마진을 남기는 느낌이었다. 진짜 모든 안내를 다 받고 가려는데, 짐을 들어주시는 직원이 직접 들고 가는 것이 아닌 큰 카트에 담아서 끌고 가셨다. 가방이 땅에 끌리거나 흙 묻는 것을 걱정할 필요가 없는 너무 좋은 방법이었다. 그리고 카트에 밀고 가니 미안한 마음도 들지 않고 편했다. 출발하려는데 안내해 준 직원이 리조트에서 가장 잘생긴 직원이라면서 소개를 해주는데 직원 간의 분위기도 너무 좋은 것이 느껴졌다. 가면서 가벼운 아이스 브레이킹 총 22팀 밖에 예약 못하는 소규모 빌라여서 복잡하지 않고 좋았다. (그래서 조식 뷔페가 안되나?) 또 규모가 작으니 수영장과 모두 인접한 숙소였다. 수영장 물은 따듯해서 좋았다. 수영장이 크게 하나뿐이었는데 차라리 수심이 깊어서 놀기에 더 좋았다. 방에 큰 병의 물이 있는 것이 너무 감동이었다. 드라이기는 당연하고 냉동고까지 있었다. 또한 침대 옆 작은 테이블이 양쪽에 있었다 무드등도 양 옆 따로 킬 수 있었다. 가운도 있고,, 감동 덩어리다.(110볼트 밖에 안되는데, 전열기구들이 220볼트인 웃긴 상황, 방탈출 하듯에 빼서 썻다.) 호텔 소유의 맹그로브 숲은 너무 이뻤다. 마사지도 가능하고 호텔 자체가 1박의 콘텐츠로 충분한 장소였다. 저녁을 레스토랑에서 먹었는데, 레스토랑 테이블이 나무로 된 책상이었다. 근데 다리를 꼬려다 보니 테이블 아래가 스폰지로 되어있었다. 마감을 스폰지로 해서 긁히지 않게 하려는 의도로 느껴졌다. 진짜 최고..!

PRO: Easy check-in, located on a main road, given a local/tasty drink upon check-in, transportation available for a fee, resto on-location, pool was great, pool area has lots of seats/tables/lounging, very serene environment/ambiance surrounded by nature, staff are polite, resort is well-maintained, free access to mangrove walk, which was serene and a must-go on its own, suites has a well-stocked kitchen utensils and toiletries. Room has safe. CON: Shower has a flawed design - water splashes out and tends to pool around the bathtub/shower area, curtains on windows are somewhat see thru - i went outside to check and i can see inside with curtains down. RECOMMENDED: I still recommend to people tobseeks out peace/quiet/calm environment/ambiance.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was great and the staff was very helpful. Loved the peaceful and relaxing environment with the ability to get to all the beaches with relative ease. Amazing stay
North Zen Villas are super zen and we had some wonderful days there. The pool area is lush and beautiful and the bamboo walk is so cool + really nice sunsets. The food in the resturant is truely amazing (fell in love with the ribs), and the breakfast is GREAT. Nice spacious rooms with a really good view! The staff is great, fun and helpful. Amazing drinks with happy hour from 7am to 7pm. Live music (really good) Fridays and Saturdays. 10 out of 10!

아름다운 리조트
오랜만의 보홀 trip이었는데, 호텔 검색 중 맹그로브 데크길이 너무 예뻐 보여서 무조건 선택해 가 보았습니다. 사진 그대로, 아니 그보다 더 예쁜 길이었고, 룸컨디션, 수영장, 서비스 등 모두 좋았습니다. Alona beach에서는 거리가 좀 있습니다.

Un seul point négatif, le petit déjeuner n’est pas à la hauteur du standing de l’hôtel. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel.

I like peace and quiet, not a traditional modern hotel, this is for me. You have to walk to go to the beach. I like the walk to the mangrove. Sunset is beautiful there. Staff are very friendly and very professional. Whoever owns this property should not overworked the staff. Their system is outdated, I noticed. I will give credit to all the staff, they gjve you their best. To the property management/owners, time to update your system. It is a shame. Be the first one to be innovative.
