I stayed three nights at Hotel Boronali to experience Paris with my 18-year-old sister. The hotel is located in Château Rouge, the African quarter of Paris, with a 10 minute uphill walk to Montmartre and Sacré-Coeur. There's barely a hundred meters from the hotel to the metro station Château Rouge, crossed by metro line 4 which takes you to Paris centre in about 10-15 minutes. The hotel staff was very friendly and service minded!
We booked a double room which was small, as most hotel rooms in Paris so that was expected. Nice to have a mini fridge to store water and other drinks. Comfy bed and pillows! We missed a full-length mirror and a wastepaper basket in the room. Very small bathroom but OK. Although, mold in the shower - yuck! The hotel elevator had room for only one, or two small, persons at a time. The wifi worked really good our whole stay, and the staff was very helpful with taxi and city information.
Good to know: If you're a young woman, sadly you're more vulnerable as a tourist. Therefore I'd recommend to avoid walking the streets alone in this area at night. Even at day, sexual assaults and catcalling is common in Paris, but NO means NO, don't be afraid to react. Also, beware of obstinate street traders, also in the subway, there's a lot of them.
Overall we had a nice stay at reasonable cost with easy access to Paris attractions.
