âBased on the fact that this is a budget hotel, the staff are amazing - endlessly helpful and patient with guests. We arrived when all the systems had gone down and the poor reception lady was being pulled in every which way - but she was still so polite, smiling and helpful. â

âThe hotel might be a bit remote and not particularly close to any specific tourist attraction, but the quality of the hotel makes a visit just for the accomodation itself worth while. It's a perfect retreat with beautiful rooms and it's situated in the middle of a wonderful, serene scenery. After staying here one night, for us the hotel itself has become an attraction to revisit.â
âThis was a pleasant inn with good service and a comfortable and well equipped room (slight issues with damp in the bathroom notwithstanding). The breakfast and food in the restaurant was generally excellent (but I would avoid the Eggs Benedict). Blaenavon is a pleasant quiet village with some local sights to see like the National Coal Museum and convenient distances to Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons by car.â
