âThe hotel is lovely. By their own admission the owners have a notice saying excuse us whilst we renovate. The lodge was fine, we didnât really notice it wanted much done. The car park was plenty, the room was spacious and comfy. Great views out the back. Convenient for the area, we really liked it. â

âReally nice property and very helpful staff. Area around the hotel is pretty, with lots of places to sit and watch the geese. Rooms are okay--be sure to get a "suite" or a double, as the single rooms are very small. Bathing facilities are pretty rudimentary--could use a shower seat or a bathtub. "Breakfast" is weak coffee and orange or apple juice.â
âIt was a beach getaway stay. Close to the State park/ beach. Very nice way to end the day at the beach. Hotel has every needed amenity. Staff is friendly and informative about the area. â
âWe stay here all the time and we live in CT. A DnD right down the street, Big Y right across the street. Always quiet even though itâs right off the highway (exit 66 on I-95). People are pleasant.â
âAs always, when in this area of CT. I stay at the Lamplighter. Close to the highway, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants. Always very clean, everything works and i did notice the new beds in my room, which were super comfortable. Extremely nice rooms for the price, with fridge and microwave. Shower, instant hot water and plenty of it. I love staying at the Lamplighter. â

âThis hotel is an outstanding value. Clean, quiet, modern, and comfortable rooms. The current manager and team is working hard to make the experience better and better. It's close to shopping and dining, but doesn't attract a lot of noisy traffic. Easy access to everything we need. We'll happily stat here on a future visit!â
âThe room was beautiful and clean. Very easy to get around and go into town. There was a restaurant walking distance. Everything else is a short car ride or uber ride away. Everyone was extremely friendly and willing to help out when needed. I would definitely recommend!â

âWe could not recommend this property more! The rooms are fabulous and the grounds are beautiful. We had a room on the ground and our dog loved the easy access outside. The rooms are decorated beautifully as well - very chic and spacious! Cant wait to come back here in the Fall.â
âHotellnamnet pĂ„ bokningen och pĂ„ hotellets fasad matchade inte. Otrevlig personal som inte ville svara pĂ„ om jag kommit till rĂ€tt hotell eller adress. Fick inte terrass eller balkong som det stod i bokningen. Rummet var sterilt och fick tankarna om en fĂ€ngelsecell. Fönstren var otĂ€ta, sĂ„ all trafik pĂ„ gatan utanför hördes vĂ€l in i rummet. Centrum ligger ett stenkast frĂ„n hotellet, men omrĂ„det fram till centrum kĂ€ndes otryggt med mĂ„nga skumma figurer som hĂ€nger planlöst i omrĂ„det.
