“Överlag ett bra budgetboende. Vad som fanns att önska: Bättre Wi-Fi (funkade inte ens på TVn) Lite fräschare sängkläder. Kaffet på rummet var så snustorrt att det var bara att ge upp. Lite för lyhört (man hör dörrar och steg väldigt tydligt. Sen är det en bar man bor ovanför så lite ljud är fullt förståeligt) Frukosten är ändå väldigt bra. “The only problem we had with the hotel was the hot stuffy room/ We realise that the budget price provided a budget room without AIR CON. However we have stayed in very good 3 star hotels without this and they provide a portable fan. Would stay here again because the pool facility is wonderful. The food was good too. Just put a fan in the room without Air Con PLEASE”

“Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume. “I came to hike Kinder scout. Immediately I was taken care of and brought to my room. Room was lovely, great bed, bath tub, all the service one would need. There was a quizz evening but it never got noisy and I had a good night's sleep. In the morning I was served a tasty breakfast by the loveliest people I met during my trip. “Very easy to access, host was very welcoming and responsive. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and had all we might need for the kitchen, including sharp knives! It was lovely and warm, very nicely decorated and cosy.The shower was good and powerful, plenty of nice quality towels too. Great location for access to walks in the National Park (we did the Trespass Walk over Kinder Scout).Very good value, lovely cottage, would definitely recommend.”

“This place is quaint but not super welcoming. The cottage was cute but not the comfiest beds. We didn’t get a code to check in and didn’t realise the reception would be unmanned. The continental breakfast was a bit odd - self service without clear instructions. Wasn’t all put out at 8am and then a girl came and brought some more things. Had to make our own coffee. ”
