Om boendet

True Lakefront, Easy Water Access, Dock, Hot Tub, Sleeps 12

  • Why do guests choose this place over the others?
Because it removes the doubt. True lakefront, not a technicality. A dock that gets you on the water fast. A hot tub that turns nights into memories. A home that is genuinely spotless, with king beds that feel like a reset button. If you want the lake experience to be the feature, not a gamble, this is it.

Welcome to Brenda, your true lakefront escape at Smith Mountain Lake, with a rare gentle walk to the dock. No steep terrain or stairs. No hauling coolers uphill. Just water, views, and ease from the moment you arrive.

This is the lake house guests walk into and say,
“Okay… this is even better than the pictures.”

    Lakefront Living, Without the Hassle

    • Private dock with easy, no-stairs access
    • 3 kayaks + 6×20 ft Lily Pad
    • Hot tub with lake views
    • Fire pit for late-night stories
    • Hammocks for slow afternoons

Morning coffee on the deck as fog lifts off the water.
Afternoons floating, paddling, fishing, or simply doing nothing at all.
Evenings under the stars, hot tub on, phones down.

Inside Brenda: Space to Gather. Space to Breathe.

    • 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths
    • King beds in every suite
    • Two living areas + game space
    • Dual fully equipped kitchens
    • Smart TVs and fast Wi-Fi
    • In-home laundry

    No fighting for bathrooms.
    No cramped sleeping arrangements.
No “this kitchen isn’t stocked” surprises.

Everything is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up so you can settle in immediately.

    Perfect For

    • Multi-family lake trips
    • Couples’ weekends
    • Friends’ reunions
    • Fall leaf weekends
    • Football getaways
    • Work-from-lake escapes

Brenda works because the layout works.
Everyone gets their own space, and everyone has somewhere to gather.

    Why Guests Love Brenda

    Guests consistently mention three things:

    How spotless it is

    How comfortable the beds are

How easy the lake access feels

It doesn’t feel like a rental.
It feels like a well-kept lake home you’re lucky enough to borrow.

House vibe: Clean. Comfortable. Confidently lakefront.
The kind of place you rebook before you leave.

Hot tub nights. Fire pit laughs. Dock mornings.
Brenda is ready when you are.

We had a wonderful family weekend getaway at this lakefront property. The location was great—right on the lake, quiet, and peaceful. It was the perfect place to relax and spend quality time together. Our family especially enjoyed the swings under the porch, which quickly became a favorite spot.

The view was beautiful and the covered porches were great for being outside but out of the sun. The house worked for us but would liked to have had a second refrigerator. The host was amazingly responsive and very accommodating!

A group of friends and I stayed at Barbara for the weekend celebrating the new year. The accommodations were very comfortable and peaceful. The lake in January is really calm and enjoyable to watch. There were plenty of table games and board games to keep us busy. We went for a relaxing weekend and that’s exactly what we had. What a beautiful place on the water for the winter time.

The location was exactly what our family needed to unwind and connect. It was wonderful for our older teenage son to have activities on site, while our college-aged daughter relaxed on the pier. My husband and I enjoyed the lake view. The kitchen was fully stocked to prepare all meals! We appreciated the clean and organized house. It made relaxing much easier.

Great house and location

Stayed for 4 nights - there were 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 children under 12. Everyone had a great time, the house was beautiful, well furnished and stocked with necessities. Great location on the lake and we used the dock for our boat rental. If you’re looking for a place to stay for 8-10 people I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book this property!

Beautiful lake view! We've been coming to SML on Labor Day weekend since 1997. We've rented larger homes and a few smaller ones. This one checked the boxes...clean, close and easy walk to the dock, well appointed with all the amenities you could need, appears to have been recently updated. The host was great and easy to work with...even added some simple things that were unexpected extras.

Lovely newly remodeled home with an excellent view of Smith Moutain Lake

Beautiful and comfortable, newly remodeled home with a view from most rooms of the lake. Amazing dock with suspended chairs and 2 kayaks with a floating pad. We would love to return because of the relaxing decor, cleanliness and comfortable mattreses.

We had an incredible family stay at this property. It has unbelievable views from the deck, the home was spacious and well thought out. Kids loved the games, ping pong, hot tub, fire pit for s’more’s or hanging out, kayaks, giant lily pad, etc. Home was clean and there were plenty of towels, the grill worked great, smart TVs’, dock for fishing or if you bring over a boat like we did, well stocked kitchen (even had a second kitchen in basement. Would highly recommend this home for anyone that would like to visit the lake, especially if you have a larger group. Will definitely be back!
