P5-1702 - 2 Bedroom Gulf Front w/Fabulous Views!

Beautiful custom decorated 2 bedroom 2 ½ bath condo on 17th floor with unobstructed west-facing views of gulf and sound. Furnishings include king bed in master, twin beds in second bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in living room. Electronics feature WiFi, flat panel TVs and Blu-Ray or DVD player in all rooms. Condo emphasizes beach décor with unique draperies and hand-stenciled wall painting.

Each two-bedroom/2.5-bathroom Sky Home is a luxurious condo suite, offering 1,333 square feet of space, including a 170-square-foot balcony.

Every room in every Sky Home has a water view. No Sky Home sits below the fifth floor. Spacious and comfortable, each Sky Home is at least twice as wide as a typical beach condo. With private water-view balconies, each is equipped with all the conveniences you'd expect to find in a premier resort, including spacious closets with extra linens and pillows, as well as a dishwasher, washer/dryer and much more. Every room has its own full bathroom plus a half-bath for Sky Home common-area use. Each of Portofino's five Mediterranean-inspired towers features its own exclusive outdoor pool and revitalizing whirlpool spa, plus covered parking for your convenience.

Great views - but different than confirmed

Portofino Resort - Pensacola Beach July 18-July 22, 2021 Lengthy review - I was confirmed unit 1702 in Tower 5 which has two bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with two separate beds) which was ideal for our group. It also listed and showed a picture of an outdoor grill. Because of this, we purchased most of our groceries to grill, which we were very excited about. The grocery visit was on the way to check in into the unit. However, we were not given this unit upon arrival. We were given a unit in Tower 1, that had two bedrooms but only two beds which required one of our party to sleep on the sofa, because of an adult male and female situation. Also, there was no grill at this unit. Which was very disappointing. The floor was filthy - all of us had filthy, black feet. We decided to where shoes inside the entire time. There were no cloth dish towels in the kitchen and the bathroom towels and face clothes were all thin and very rough. There was no check in info posted onto the VRBO site. I messaged the property manager Carrie the day prior to arrival regarding it and received no response. I called twice the day of arrival and was told that for check in, I was to go to the front desk and check in. I think this is information that should be entered into the VRBO site. I spoke to the Portofino manager about the change in my unit and was told that they had shown me originally booked for the 1702 unit, but the that the switch in units was made by Carrie the property manager. This information should have been shared with us by the property manager before us checking in. The sleeping issues we had with our party/unit would have had us looking for a unit that had an additional bed so no one was sleeping in the main room. Plus it would have just been the right thing to do. Other than these issues, The Portofino property was very nice. The units are extremely well built and quiet except for the hallway noise. Having the chairs and umbrellas on the beach reserved for us everyday is WELL worth the price we paid for them. The location is great. Down on the quieter end away from all the touristy shops, bars and stores.

Timely manner

This unit is exactly as it is pictured. Everything was very cleaned. Everyone was extremely nice. We had a issue with the washing machine. (This was no fault of the owners, sand was clogged in the pipes) Maintenance fixed it in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.
