So, I have stayed in Lost Key before and this week I was really disappointed. The house smells like a wet dog. I had to re look at the listing because I only book properties that have a no pet policy. This listing is a pet free property, however, there was a closet that had all kinds of pet food and accessories. So, beware. There is a dog that stays in this house, it is the owner's I guess. Also, while the housekeepers did a great job, there are spills trapped in the fridge and its kinda gross. The kitchen is not set up to accommodate the number of people that the house sleeps. There were only four of us and upon arrival, it was very apparent that the kitchen was barely functioning. Everything in it was old and left over, like from a garage sale. A cheap roll of paper towels and two dishwasher tabs was their "start". There aren't enough utensils for the 11 people that can sleep here. There was one washcloth and one kitchen towel. There wasn't any hand soap, no dish soap, no kitchen cleaner. This is a real problem. People rent homes so they can have the option to cook and not eat out every meal. It's one thing to not have food staples upon arrival. I understand that, but we arrived and immediately could not cook the simple breakfast that we brought due to lack of function in this kitchen. The items that are there were old, cheap and overall the kitchen was not something the owners considered.
