“This is an older motel, so don't expect a 4-star hotel. I've stayed there twice on the last two years, and both times I have had excellent experiences. The building is probably from the 1950-1960 era, and it does show. However, the rooms themselves have everything you would need. Everything is very clean. “We found our check-in to be accomodating especially since I have mobility issues. Our room was to be on the second floor and we were provided with a first floor upgrade at a nominal fee. It was quiet with a comfortable bed . We did find that our operation of the television was quite difficult. We feel there should have been more explanation on its control. “This is a spectacular property. See other reviews for details. I would warn other that the check in tech was not able to find my reservation. Help button at the unmanned desk did not summon anyone. I had to find the confirmation email and call the number. I was then given the wrong room number by that person. I think the link between Expedia and the property is weak, and the timing of the texts the property sends was late to me.”

“Fun stay at a neat old inn in a very convenient and lovely location, walking distance to good food and shopping. This is an older hotel that doesn’t have all the updated and most modern conveniences but if it did, it would be twice as expensive and I probably would not have stayed there. “The staff was great and check-in was very easy. The hot tub/pool area was also a nice addition and very relaxing. The room itself could have been a bit cleaner, as I did have to dust off some of the furniture and noticed quite a few spiderwebs. Overall, we still had a pleasant stay.”

“It is a lovely beautiful place, we visited at the end of snow season but I bet that this place is beautiful in fall foliage, summer and winter! “We had one of the apartments out back and it was really nice. The staff was very responsive and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good and the waiter, Brian I think, was a very nice deadpan comedian. We enjoyed the hot tub too! The only thing we didn't appreciate was that it took about 10 minutes of running the water to get hot water for the sinks and showers. Not really a problem to wait, but it seems a waste of water.”
