Neighborhood
Suite Majorca welcomes you in the heart of Perpignan, a city with a coat of arms of blood and gold that radiates the Catalan soul.
From the window, the view of Place de la RĂ©publique is breathtaking. The market is held there on Saturday mornings.
The square is located in a pedestrian zone.
You will discover several shops and food markets in the immediate vicinity, as well as cultural sites such as the Castillet, Saint John the Baptist Cathedral, Campo Santo, Hyacinthe Rigaud Museum, and the Palace of the Kings of Majorca. They will tell you the story of this wonderful city.
You can take a break on a café terrace or taste the local cuisine at one of the many restaurants.
Suite Majorca is also close to the Congress Palace and the Court of Justice.
Transit
ACCESS BY CAR â PARKING:
PARKING RĂPUBLIQUE A very good option to drop off your luggage (the elevator exit from the parking lot is located in front of the entrance of the Suites Coronell dâEn Vila).
Parking Arago is located (5 minutes walk from Place de la RĂ©publique). The rates are significantly lower.
CHEAPER ALTERNATIVES
It is possible to park your vehicle near the Castillet: free spots from 6:00 PM to 9:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, as well as from Saturday to Monday at 9:00 AM. Rates to be paid at the city parking meters. Some spots are free 24/7. You can download the INDIGO NEO mobile app.
There are also several parking facilities where you can park your vehicle for 24 hours for only âŹ2. The closest to Suites Coronell dâEn Vila is Parking Poncin (located on Rue Pierre Dumont, near the Castillet).
To reach Coronell dâEn Vila on foot from the Castillet (5 minutes): pass under the Castillet arch; continue straight down Rue Louis Blanc then Rue des Marchands; turn right onto Rue de la Barre and immediately left onto Rue Mirabeau. The Suites Coronell dâEn Vila building is located at the corner of Rue Mirabeau and Place de la RĂ©publique (the entrance is on the square).
FROM/TO THE TGV STATION
By TAXI: ask to be dropped off at the corner of Rue Mirabeau and Rue de la Barre. The entrance to the establishment is located at the corner of Rue Mirabeau and Place de la RĂ©publique.
By BUS: line C to the CASTILLET stop (stop to the left when exiting the main train station). To get from Castillet to Place de la RĂ©publique (5 minutes), see above.
FROM/TO THE AIRPORT
By taxi: travel time 20 to 25 minutes; cost: approximately âŹ20-25. By bus: line no. 6 to the TGV station (departures until 8:30 PM â fare âŹ2). See the previous paragraph for the route from the TGV station to Place de la RĂ©publique.
