Well stocked cottage, dated but cozy like any other cottage. I wanted for nothing. Beat sleep!

Cottage Bliss

We had a wonderful, tranquil stay. The cottage had everything we needed. We had a lovely private beach with a canoe, kayak and paddle board. We enjoyed swimming, bbqing and dinner on the large back deck. We hope to stay again.

Relaxing week on a beautiful lake

Wonderful week and an extremely beautiful property. The beach was excellent for our toddler, the fishing was excellent for the teens and the cottage was functional for all of our needs. Older cottage but extremely clean.

Kawartha sandy beach cottage

This was a perfect cottage holiday for a young water loving family. The kids loved the sandy beach and shallow sandy bottom of the lake. We enjoyed canoeing, paddle boarding and lots of fishing and swimming. The cottage was comfortable and well supplied with kids activities. Peter responded quickly when contacted. We all had a great time

Fun times for all

My wife and I, took a one week vacation at this cottage with our two girls, and their boyfriends. We had a great time, great location, nearby town. We had many options, relax, go kayaking, canoeing, S.U.P., read a book ! Accommodations were basic, but you can’t beat the view.

Spectacular waterfront view!

The adults enjoyed relaxing on the dock and cooling off in the water, while the children paddled in kayaks and paddled boards around. They loved the slide into the water and jumping off the swimming dock. The outside activities and location were more than ideal!

Cottage has the look and feel of a family cottage and has all the amenities and toys to make it feel like home. We had a great time! swimming was easy with the beach entry, also loved using the canoe. Wish the queen bed was more comfy, we borrowed a mattress pad from the bunkie to make it less hard, which fixed the problem for our stay. The wood stove and baseboard heaters kept us warm when the weather changed. The kitchen and BBQs are perfect for making meals and fresh food is a 10 min drive to town. Wanted to stay for longer, thanks Peter!

Perfect waterfront!

Wonderful cottage, reminded me of cottages my parents rented when I was a kid! Very clean, well equipped kitchen and really did have everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, love the sandy beach area and our grandson loved it also, spending a lot of time picking up snails and pinecones! Great Lake for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing! Fairly quiet considering alot of homes on the lake! Good communication with our host and couldn’t have asked for a lovelier place to spend a week-a few more days would have been even better!

Aw the Cottage Life

We had an absolutely fantastic week staying at the Sandy Beach Cottage on Chandos Lake. Everything we needed was there. The rustic nature of the cottage really brought back memories of the true rustic family cottage experience that I had growing up and that we were able to also share with our two kids when they were young. Having our two kids now as adults as well as our daughter in law and granddaughter was a blast. The site was great for her as was the beach and she loved the slide. Our experience at the Sandy Beach Cottage has sown a seed to embark on a new summer tradition for family get togethers in the great outdoors. Lovely Relaxing Property

Our trip was great, the property is very nice and spacious. My children loved the beach area for swimming. It was not very weedy, the swimming was great. Very nice quiet bay in the lake. We had everything we needed, the cottage is well stocked with everything from towels to cooking utensils.

Sandy Beach review

Beach and view awesome! Beds were not good super hard one and other concave with broken springs. Bbq' s barely worked very old. I would definitely bring my own towels and wash cloths.

Family cottage

Our family had a wonderful stay at Sandy Beach Cottage, love the view and ample outdoor space to visit with friends who also cottage on Chandos Lake. The kitchen is well outfitted for cooking and overall, the cottage is a perfect fit for our family. Peter is an attentive host who responds promptly to our questions or requests.

Beautiful view and property

We had a great stay at the cottage. Cottage has a wonderful view of the lake. Lots of water toys to use. Cottage is clean, lots of room and filled with lots of charm. Perfect for couples and families. We will be booking again next summer.

Family cottage extraordinaire

Perfectly appointed for families who are looking for fun in the sun on the beach. The cottage is equipped with everything your family will need to cook, play and enjoy the great outdoors. Lots of books, board games and little toys for those rainy days. Spectacular fire pit on the beach. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family cottage! We left it as we found it, neat as a pin.

Great Cottage Get Away

The cottage was a lovely cottage in a great location. The kids loved it and it had everything we needed. We did some fishing and spent most of our time swimming and paddling. It's an older cottage with some quirks (the bathroom was a little tight) but it is well equipped and in a lovely location.

Best lake for fishing! + has a beach!

I had a blast last week up at Peter and his families cottage. Once we arrived his brother greeted us and showed us around the cottage. They had tons of kayaks, paddle board and a canoe we could put at use. They also had lots of life jackets + an extra fridge to use for our drinks (or extra food room). It felt home-y and right on a beach. Me and my boyfriend mainly went up for the fishing and we caught lots. Pike, large mouth, lake trout (you have to have a boat and launch on the other side of the lake..but well worth it for a day of morning fishing. I even was able to catch a 5.5 pound + smallie right under the dock around the corner on my kayak. We had use to the towels, washer and dryer and every appliance. Theres satellite and we would watch movies in the evening after a campfire on the beach. They are a ton of cottages on this lake, however I was extreamly surprised how quiet it was at night. I highly recommend you book this cottage. You'll have a blast and feel very accommodated. Thanks to you Peter & your family!
