We stayed in the casita for 6 days in March 2024.
The building is nice an airy, with two air conditioners to keep things comfortable, and just enough space for the two of us.
I did not appreciate when I made the booking that the yard was shared with the renters who were in the main-home, so that detracted from our privacy a little. I should have read more carefully?
Anyhow, this arrangement was largely OK since we were golfing and hiking each day but it did detract a little when you come home at 5pm and want to sit on the patio in peace, which was probably what the other renters wanted too, so we ended up a bit ‘on top of each other’. They had a big dog. Ha.
The casita is quite modern and has high ceilings so it has a nice feel. Strangely (to my layman’s knowledge of fire code!?) the window in the bedroom does not open, so as long as you like sleeping with ac on, it’s a nice place to lay your head, but there’s no natural breeze in there.
The Kitchen was well equipped for all we needed, and we did cook ourselves dinner a few nights and had no trouble based on the amenities supplied. Nice little bar-height island for a “table” fit the two of us just fine.
We found the location had easy access to camelback area and Phoenix preserve, and also to the freeway system, and skyharbour.
A nice spot (plus Brooke and Tim were a true delight to deal with, thanks guys!)
