This is very interesting since my home is located in Phoenix and not Scottsdale. The guest did not leave after one night and his comments is unclear what he disliked about the neighborhood. The home is located in a good neighborhood called Arcadia light. Full of fine dining, shops, and million dollar homes. I’m thinking the guest has my home confused with another home that he stayed in in Scottsdale.

It’s guest like this to blame for the house rules. If it were up to me I would prefer to not have any house rules. The guest check in and send me a message everything was great. I sent a message the next day and she reconfirmed everything was great. 3 days later the morning they are set to check out the guest sent me several picture trying to show me the home is dirty, pictures of dirty dishes and dirty towels demanding they get a refund for the cleaning fee and a discount because the home was dirty.

It’s very disappointing when a guest blames the host because they can’t follow very clear and simple check in instruction, they arrive very late in the night and they can’t check in. If you don’t let me know you’re going to arrive after check in hours I’m not going to be available to help you. The guest arrived at about 1am, they didn’t tell me they where arriving after check in hours, could not follow check instructions and it’s my fault because I was not available right away up to help them.

This review is not an acuérdate representation of the events. Within a couple of hours of arriving the gust sent me a message claiming bleach got into their black load laundry. I asked how this could happen and they said the bleach was already in the washing machine. Then I asked why did you have to do laundry within hours of arriving to the home and they replied I didn’t have time before leaving my house. I thought this was Strange. I check with the cleaning staff of the used the washer and dryer. They replied saying no because we don’t was linens in the home. To be fair I asked what I could do to resolve this issue. The guest reply was to give her a refund of $250 for what aprendes to be a couple of tshirts. I replied by saying this was not a resolve solution since they only paid $178 to stay in my home, they has no evidence the damage was actually caused by the washer and dryer. I explained I found it unusual for a guest to travel for a short trip with dirty clothes. They simply replied they would contact VRBO. As a jester of good faith I would have credit the guest $50 but I didn’t offer anything because it seems the guest is just looking for a free stay. Guest will do crazy things to get a free stay or money back.

I’m disappointed the guest didn’t enjoy the home to its fullest potential. The home is as advertised on VRBO. The point out the home has stairs and it’s a one and half bathrooms.

I strive for a 5 Star review. When a guest leaved anything less than a 5 Star review its very disappointing especially when the guest does not communicate or let me know what was wrong so i have the opportunity to try to correct the issue.

The guests review is disappointing and not a surprise. The home is a 2 bedroom apartment and will accommodate 4 adults. The home is in an 13 unit apartment building so the common areas are shared. With such a small community very few resident use the common area especial during work hours. If a guest is looking for a private pool they should consider a house not an apartment community. The guest is also upset because originally she booked for two guest. A few days before arriving she wanted to add two more guest and got mad because of the extra guest fees she had to pay. She tried to cancel her reservation but decided to stay after she realized if she cancelled she would not get any money back. When a guest make their reservation I always ask the guest to review the house rules, confirm the guest reviewed the house rules and to confirm the guest will abide by the rules. The guest confirm reviewing the house rules and abiding by them.

a 4 star review was a total surprise. when guest checked out sent me a message saying they has a great day. Maureen gave no feed back either
