We return the next morning abd the staff had been really worried about us . They had explained that security was very high . We were taken about about how much they cared . “The Aquamarine guest house is a gem in terms of comfort, service and location- with a view over the bay. Highly recommended- but the parking is really at your own risk. Not for theft but for damaging the car when getting into the awkward parking lots. There is however a free taxi shuttle- so once you have parked you don’t need to use the car until you leave. Unfortunately we had a shuttle driver with annoyingly strong opinions about the situation in South Africa, but maybe we were just unlucky...

“Great location & A great host Unfortunately there is no air con and the heat at night made it very difficult to sleep at night. The bedroom we had was small. The other 2 larger bedrooms had sliding doors on to a balcony,which you could leave open at night for some air flow. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs in total 1x double-1 x twin smaller rooms with little air flow. 2x larger rooms with sliding doors to balconies Great breakfast too. ”
